Ministers vote themselves salary increase of NIS 5,000
The Knesset Finance Committee approved a salary increase of NIS 5,000 for government ministers. The increase is more than previously announced due to being retroactively linked to the average wage in the economy.
The initiative to raise government minister's wages came from MK Moshe Gafni who pointed out that they were set to receive less than general Knesset members.
