For the first time in the IDF: A woman was appointed to the command of an aviation squadron

Israeli Air Force Commandeer Major General Amikam Norkin appointed an IAF Major as the first woman to serve as an aviation squadron commander. She will be promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel and command a transport squadron.
