PMO officials: no contradiction between Netanyahu and Trump's US Embassy comments

Officials in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s offices say there is no contradiction between the prediction made by the Israeli premier in India that the US Embassy in Israel will move from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem within a year and comments made by President Donald Trump refuting the notion.

“Obviously the building of a new embassy takes years, but the prime minister believes that the US is considering construction steps which will likely to see the opening of the embassy in a short timeframe.”

The Israeli response came after Trump, when asked about Netanyahu’s prediction said: ”By the end of the year? We’re talking about different scenarios—I mean obviously that would be on a temporary basis. We’re not really looking at that. That’s no.”
