The Defense Ministry and the IDF presented the recommendations of a committee to examine the Haredi draft to the army on Monday.
The recommendations include new Haredi recruitment goals to the IDF and civilian national service, a gradual annual increase in the number
of recruits, significant economic sanctions for failing to meet the recruitment goals, and promoting benefits and rewards to all IDF soldiers.
"The number of IDF enlistment from the Haredi public has increased tenfold over the past decade. We must continue the efforts and gradually increase the number of those serving in the IDF and national service," the committee said.
