Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged Gaza’s leaders to restore calm on the border with Israel Tuesday evening, warning that an escalation could result in an “unbearable” price for the Hamas-ruled enclave.
“If they choose to escalate matters, the price they will pay will be unbearable for them,” Netanyahu said during a memorial service on Mount Herzl for fallen soldier of Operation Protective Edge.
The prime minister also addressed efforts to return bodies of IDF soldiers who have remained in captivity since the 2014 war.
"We continue to invest great efforts in returning our fighters Oron Shaul and Hadar Goldin. Not everything is out in the open, and that is a good thing," the prime minister continued.
