Litzman to resigns if draft bill isn't postponed

Deputy Health Minister Ya'akov Litzman said Tuesday he would resign from the government if a postponement on the draft bill is not achieved within a week.

The bill seeks to integrate the ultra-Orthodox public in the job market and to impose financial rather than criminal sanctions on yeshivot that do not meet draft quota of 95 percent.

The bill is expected to go on its second and third readings in the Knesset next week.
