Senior official: 'Hamas has committed to halt the fire terrorism'

A senior official said Saturday, "Hamas has taken a hard pounding yesterday and asked for a truce via Egypt while committing to halt the fire terrorism and the Gaza border terror, with Egypt vouching for that."

"The actions in the field are those to determine what happens next. If Hamas breaks (the agreement) it would pay even a more severe price," the official asserted.
