IDF chief briefs Security Cabinet on IDF emergency preparedness

The Security Cabinet was briefed on Wednesday by IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Gadi Eisenkot on the progress of the implementation of the multi-year "Gideon" plan and its contribution to the emergency preparedness of the IDF.

The chief of staff noted the processes that have been carried out in the IDF with emphasis on the ground forces, training, fitness, readiness and personnel.

The data that were presented indicate progress in implementing the plan according to the timetables set and approved by the Security Cabinet.
