Egyptian intelligence delegation arrives in Gaza

An Egyptian intelligence delegation, headed by Ahmed Abd al-Khaliq, entered the Gaza Strip Monday through the Erez crossing to meet with Hamas leadership and discuss a possible ceasefire deal with Israel and reconciliation with Fatah.

The head of Egyptian intelligence, Abbas Kamel, who was supposed to arrive in the region last week but postponed his visit due to recent escalation in Gaza, may visit the Strip, Jerusalem and Ramallah later on this week.
