Germany to compensate Jews evacuated to Britain as children

Germany will pay compensation of 2,500 euros to Jewish children evacuated to Britain on the eve of the Second World War, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Monday.

 

No indication has been given as to the number of beneficiaries of this measure.

 

The Jewish Claim Conference (JCC), which has been working since 1951 to obtain and administer compensation for Jewish Holocaust victims, will be responsible for the disbursement of the funds.
