Report: Israel asks US to pressure Lebanon over tunnels

Israel has asked the United States to pressure the Lebanese army to assist the IDF in uncovering Hezbollah tunnels, the Lebanese newspaper al-Akhbar reported Tuesday.

According to the report, Lebanon rejected all Israeli requests, which also included  the request to give more authority to United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), as well as criticism over Hezbollah's violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
