Netanyahu: If necessary, we'll step up attacks on Iranian targets in Syria
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened Sunday to increase attacks against Iranian military targets in Syria, after claiming responsibility for a weekend strike on an Iranian arms warehouse at the Damascus airport.
"In the past 48 hours, Israel attacked an Iranian weapons warehouse at the international airport in Damascus. This reflects our consistent policy and strong determination to prevent Iran from entrenching itself militarily in Syria. If necessary, we will step up these attacks," Netanyahu said during a tour of the IDF's Galilee Division in northern Israel.
