Ehud Barak appologizes to Arab citizens for October 2000 deaths

Former Prime Minister Ehud Barak who today heads the Israel Democratic Party has apologized for his role in the 2000 October riots that resulted in 12 Arab citizens of Israel being shot by police.

The riots were in protest of the entrance of the late Ariel Sharon, then a Likud member, into the Moslem controlled Temple Mt.
