PM downplays claims wife insulted Ukraine hosts at arrival reception

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu downplays claims that his wife Sara insulted their hosts upon arrival in Ukraine, after footage was released showing her throwing a piece of bread offered during the reception ceremony to the ground.

"It's total nonsense," the prime minister says in a video released Monday evening. "She was dressed in Ukraine's national clothing, yellow and blue, as she got off the plane to honor Ukraine."

Netanyahu also slammed the media for focusing on his wife's conduct rather than what he said was "an historic visit" to Ukraine.
