EU condemns Netanyahu pledge to annex parts of the West Bank

The European Union spokesperson Wednesday called Prime Minister Benjamin's Netanyahu's pledge to annex part of the West Bank a danger to lasting peace.

"The policy of building and expanding settlements, including in East Jerusalem, is illegal under international law, and the measures taken in this context undermine the viability of the two-state solution and the prospects for a lasting peace, "The spokesman said.
