Rouhani: Israeli attacks in Syria are illegal
Israeli airstrikes in Syria are illegal and only serve to destabilize the region, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said at the start of a meeting in Ankara with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"We condemn the Israeli attacks in Syria,"says Rohani. "These are illegal actions that serve only to raise tensions in the area."
A senior Israeli source said earlier this month that the defense establishment is focused on averting the threat of precision missiles that Iran is trying to introduce into Syria and Lebanon.
