Trump on the media: 'enemy of the people, knowingly make up the facts'

U.S. President Donald Trump posted a strong worded tweet overnight Sunday against the mainstream media, accusing it of making facts and calling it "the enemy of the people".

"The Fake News Media nowadays not only doesn’t check for the accuracy of the facts, they knowingly make up the facts," Trump wrote in his tweet. "They even make up sources in order to protect their partners, the Democrats. It is so wrong, but they don’t even care anymore. They have gone totally crazy".

This tweet was posted in light of recent reports claiming President Trump urged the Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky this summer to investigate the son of former Vice President Joe Biden for his business dealings in the eastern European country.
