Jordan: Detainees in Israel to be freed by weekend

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi tweeted on Monday that, "the Jordanian detainees in Israel, Heba Labadi and Abdel Rahman Meri, will return by the weekend."

Labadi, who is on hunger strike, is reportedly suspected of trying to recruit for Hezbollah in the West Bank while it is unclear why Meri was detained. Both are in administrative detention.

Safadi added: "The Jordanian government has worked from day one for their release, in accordance to King Abdullah's directives, while all necessary steps were taken to bring them back safely."
