IDF chief: Abu al-Atta behind most of attacks from Gaza in past year
IDF Chief Aviv Kochavi says the Islamic Jihad commander killed overnight in Gaza was responsible for the majority of the attacks emanating from the Strip in the past year.
Kochavi says that Israel is ready to face the security challenges it will face as a result of the targeted killing.
"We don't want an escalation but we are prepared for it," Kochavi says.
The IDF chief calls on all Israelis to act in accordance with instructions from the IDF Home Front Command, which he says will protect them and save lives.
