Israel saw 1,689 new coronavirus patients on Wednesday, bringing the tally of confirmed patients since the start of the epidemic to 78,514, health officials confirmed.
The Health Ministry said 345 people are in a serious condition, of which 100 are ventilated.
The ministry added they conducted 25,457 COVID-19 tests on Wednesday, putting the contagion rate at 6.6%.
