The Health Ministry reported Friday morning 1,672 new cases of coronavirus were detected in the previous 24 hours.
There are currently 24,220 active coronavirus carriers across the country with 778 hospitalizations - 358 patients are in serious condition, among them 102 patients on ventilators.
Health authorities received the results of 27,657 coronavirus tests and 6% of returned positive.
