The Health Ministry said there were 537 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed since midnight out of 36,928 tests conducted indicating a 1.5% positivity rate.
The number of active cases of the virus stands on 8,958 with 278 hospitalized in serious condition and 128 of them described as critical. Currently 115 people are on ventilators.
Since the start of the pandemic, 2,821 people have succumbed to the virus.
