Head of the Infectious Disease Unit and Laboratories at the Sheba Medical Center Prof. Galia Rahav said on Thursday that fitness centers should remain closed as more evidence shows people contracted COVID-19 while at the gym.
"We must not repeat the mistakes of the first lockdown and open up everything. Gyms can wait, there is more and more data on infections at gyms from around the world. There are places that don't care about restrictions and open the education system despite being red," she told the Ynet studio, referring to coronavirus hotspots. "Enforcement should be much stricter and carry heavy fines."
