The Health Ministry reported Friday morning 1,072 Israelis have tested positive for coronavirus out of 53,667 tests conducted in the previous 24 hours, meaning 2% of all tests came back positive.
There are 9,575 active COVID-19 carriers in Israel, 275 are in serious condition and 117 patients are on ventilators.
The national coronavirus death toll stood at 2,834.
