Kiryat Ye'arim became the first town in the world to reach herd immunity against COVID-19, Channel 13 reported on Wednesday.
Health experts believe a population had reached herd immunity from the disease once 60%-80% of its members are immunized against it.
According to a 2019 census, the ultra-Orthodox town, which is located near Jerusalem, had 6,182 residents.
