Knesset Speaker Yariv Levin on Thursday offered to extend the nationwide COVID-19 lockdown by a day as a settlement between the coalition's major factions, Blue & White and Likud, which are at loggerheads over raising fines for violations of health directives.
According to Levin's offer, the lockdown, which is set to expire on Sunday, will be extended by one more day and lawmakers will vote on whether to increase fines on Monday.
