I join my prayers with many all over the world for God to protect the PM and keep him healthy to continue the brave steps he is leading.
3. Time for a Change
Marcel ,   Florida   (01.04.06)
The heart of the King is in the Hands of God. Israel in the next years faces the most serious challenges to it's continued existence. For this reason Isreal needs a strong leader and P.M. Sharon has proven not to be that man. Incabable of saying no to foreign agenda's that weaken her and reward terrorism ,he must be replaced soon. This is the time to say goodby to a once great general turned appeaser and lackey to foreign interests. My hope is that the one who replaces P.M. Sharon can stand up to the bully tactics and incessant meddling into Israel's sovereignty by President Bush and his failed peace scams that endanger Israel's security. The time is long overdue to stop rewarding the Palestinian terrorist army and to defeat them soundly. P.M. Sharon has proven incapable of doing the job ,so this weak leader must be replaced by a strong one who is not afraid to do what has to be done.
4. GET WELL SOON
ambrosine shitrit ,   london   (01.04.06)
During this difficult time, try to keep your political differences out of the picture ...please people. We should be praying that Sharon is okay and wish him a speedy recovery I lost my father last year, at the same age as Sharon, and my thoughts are with his family .

6. No time for dithering
Chrisona ,   Chicago.IL   (01.04.06)
Sharon is obviously unwell, and Israel needs a new PM now.
7. It is time for Sharon to do the honorable thing-step down
Adina Kutnicki ,   NJ   (01.04.06)
Sharon is in no condition, either physically, mentally or morally to lead Israel during these perilous times. If he survives this latest episode he must be forced to retire, and no longer propped up by opportunistic elements. Israel's existence is on the line.
8. Refuah Shaleimah
David ,   Jerusalem   (01.04.06)
His age and health are obviously catching up with him. I hope he has many more healthy years - in retirement.
9. Sharon
Arjun Hardas ,   Noida, India   (01.04.06)
I'm amazed how some people can bring politics into a column that is simply reporting on the health of an elected leader. Pls keep ALL politics/religion out of this and just SIMPLY wish him well !

Although I sometimes did not agree with his vision and would personally prefer Bibi to be Israel's next PM, I wish Sharon health and speedy recovery.
15. You are in our prayers
Chanan ,   Jerusalem   (01.04.06)
At this trying time I call on all Israel in wishing our Prime Minister a Refuah Shleima, you are a fighter and we know you will pull through. May He who blessed our fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Moses and Aaron, David and Solomon, heal Ariel Scheinerman.
16. May he be restored to full spiritual and physical health.
Steve ,   USA   (01.05.06)
B"H I am not sure what is happening to Sharon, but Jacob refused to send Binyamin to Egypt initially because "the prosecuter" acts in times of difficulty. May the Jewish Nation and Sharon be restored to full spiritual and physical health, immediately under G-d.

Russell ,   Miami   (01.05.06)
The reports are grim. I hope for his sake and for the sake of Israel that Sharon is healthy and has a speedy recovery.
25. While we may feel bad for his condition, remember this . .
Gavriel ,   Long Island NY   (01.05.06)
nearly 10,000 people are without homes, jobs, adequate clothing, money, and schooling because this man didn't prepare what they needed before he ruthlessly broke every promise he made and through them out as a sacrifice to the Arabs. Sharon was sick before the stroke. If not this, the bribery scandal would have gotten him. Why does everyone praise this man? I don't get it. He lied, bullied, bluffed, and cheated his way through the last two years. See the facts - avoid the false pity.
26. GUEOULA
samuel ,   paris   (01.05.06)
Sharon is the last Prime Minister .....Kingdom of israel will be soon a reality (see RAV KADURI)
27. explanation

28. To Jane - # 20 -
Adina Kutnicki ,   US   (01.05.06)
Hey Jane - just because someone becomes ill they do not become magically absolved of all their crimes. There is a certain tendency of people who wax poetic over the ill and the recently deceased, as if a halo has now been placed around them. Just another sign of delusion. You can be a part of it. I certainly won't be dragged into it. Where was your sympathy when thousands of Jews were made refugees due to Sharon? Worry more about them if you even have such a conscience! By the way - nobody caused his stroke. Old age and obesity are the defining factors. Don't try and guilt me. I save my sympathy for real victims.
29. for all Palestinians ...we should respect feelings of jews
palestine.my.love ,   palestine   (01.05.06)
30. Pray
Chanan ,   Jerusalem   (01.05.06)
Pray for Sharon, this is not the time or the place for anything else but prayer, Tehilim, and if you are from another religion, then the prayers that are said for sick people, after all we are all G-d's children.Respect one another and use another vehicle for your gripes and moans.
