I join my prayers with many all over the world for God to protect the PM and keep him healthy to continue the brave steps he is leading.

The heart of the King is in the Hands of God. Israel in the next years faces the most serious challenges to it's continued existence. For this reason Isreal needs a strong leader and P.M. Sharon has proven not to be that man. Incabable of saying no to foreign agenda's that weaken her and reward terrorism ,he must be replaced soon. This is the time to say goodby to a once great general turned appeaser and lackey to foreign interests. My hope is that the one who replaces P.M. Sharon can stand up to the bully tactics and incessant meddling into Israel's sovereignty by President Bush and his failed peace scams that endanger Israel's security. The time is long overdue to stop rewarding the Palestinian terrorist army and to defeat them soundly. P.M. Sharon has proven incapable of doing the job ,so this weak leader must be replaced by a strong one who is not afraid to do what has to be done.

During this difficult time, try to keep your political differences out of the picture ...please people. We should be praying that Sharon is okay and wish him a speedy recovery I lost my father last year, at the same age as Sharon, and my thoughts are with his family .

I wish all the best in this new event to the Prime Minister, and Im sure that G/d will be with him during the surgery, because his duty is not finish yet...is a strong man and brave, with a lot of courge Israel need him now, may G-d bless him...

Sharon is obviously unwell, and Israel needs a new PM now.

Sharon is in no condition, either physically, mentally or morally to lead Israel during these perilous times. If he survives this latest episode he must be forced to retire, and no longer propped up by opportunistic elements. Israel's existence is on the line.

His age and health are obviously catching up with him. I hope he has many more healthy years - in retirement.

I'm amazed how some people can bring politics into a column that is simply reporting on the health of an elected leader. Pls keep ALL politics/religion out of this and just SIMPLY wish him well !

Although I sometimes did not agree with his vision and would personally prefer Bibi to be Israel's next PM, I wish Sharon health and speedy recovery.

Hey Jane - just because someone becomes ill they do not become magically absolved of all their crimes. There is a certain tendency of people who wax poetic over the ill and the recently deceased, as if a halo has now been placed around them. Just another sign of delusion. You can be a part of it. I certainly won't be dragged into it. Where was your sympathy when thousands of Jews were made refugees due to Sharon? Worry more about them if you even have such a conscience! By the way - nobody caused his stroke. Old age and obesity are the defining factors. Don't try and guilt me. I save my sympathy for real victims.

Pray for Sharon, this is not the time or the place for anything else but prayer, Tehilim, and if you are from another religion, then the prayers that are said for sick people, after all we are all G-d's children.Respect one another and use another vehicle for your gripes and moans.
