This will last 2000 years. they were scattered over the world till the end of that time. they have had to suffer at the hands of all people and nations during this time and it continues. God will put and end to this one day . He is gathering his people to Israel from all over the world as he stated in his word would happen. we are seeing that now. The countries the muslims are occupying now is land given to the jews as the promise land. They will one day have it back for G-d will intervene in the end to save Israel from the enemy. At this point in time they are there for that reason and the last 1300 years. But they are not the owners of the land. The Jews are. That is scripture. All in G-d's time. It will all come to pass as most prophesy has been fulfilled . G-d is not just tollerating them it is all in his plan. And what a plan he has. The jews and the land goes back thousands of years. Way before the muslims moved in. Not excepting christ was the turning point with G-d. This brought trouble down on the Jews. One day they will see it for that is all in G-ds plan also. And yes Sharon has divided the land that G-d gave back to them for their return to the holy land. That was a miracle in itself. He had no right to give it away. Christians that have studied the older testament know this. It was and insane thing to do . God has ways of moving people out of the way when they listen to someone other than him. Bush is not G-d. No one can argue what God says about those who divide His land (Israel). Scripture is very clear about God's attitude toward those who want to divide His land. Scripture is also very clear about what happens to those who harm the Jews. God warns against attacking Israel in Zechariah 12:9 which states that "in that day" meaning some future time, God will destroy those nations that attack Israel. That can only refer to some yet future time. If America joins in attack against Jeruslam and Israel, we will be destroyed.

This is the time to show your support. It is not the time to preach or dictate to leaders of Israel. More than ever, it is a time to be respectful.

If Mr. Robertson's idea of how God operates were correct, then political leaders (and the rest of us) would be smited every time we violated Biblical morality...and then there wouldn't be many political leaders left anyplace. But if we do a thought experiment and assume Robertson is right: what is the action of Mr. Sharon that most obviously divides the land of Israel? The answer's not the Gaza troop withdrawal, but the wall in the West Bank--a physical gash across the landscape. But Mr. Robertson is presumably a political supporter of the construction of the wall, since it is supposed to defend the state of Israel. Thus, Robertson doesn't criticize the obvious division of Israel/Palestine, but only the withdrawal that he disagrees with politically. So much for taking Scripture seriously!

Sharon is a couragous man. This man has not been appreciated by political pundits or religious fanatics .The whole universe is gods land. Dont didivide it to exploit,oppress, enslave, deprive,or torture human. Unfortunately thats what we do. Indeed, even before the events took place, God ALSO stressed that He would re-gather His people from the ends of the earth, not for their sake but FOR HIS HOLY NAME'S SAKE. The literal fulfilment of the divine promises surrounding the disobedience, dispersal and exile of His people and the divine promises surrounding their return to the Land have been fulfilled to the letter. Those which have yet to be fulfilled are taking shape at the time of writing. The Lord not only promised that Israel would be dispersed, but that they would be preserved in that dispersion as a nation and that in the last days they would be back on their own land in unbelief, and that the whole world would be in siege against them and their capital city, Jerusalem. The last five decades have seen such a world-wide re-gathering of the Jews, the re-estabishment of their nation of Israel and the return of Jerusalem as their capital city. The Scriptures quoted by Pat Robertson apply to anyone and everyone and not just Ariel Sharon. All who are in any way responsible for dividing up the land will be held accountable. The Scriptures are not to be taken in isolation but in the full and entire context of the whole of Scripture and are there for all to read and digest or ultimately reject, as each individual sees fit.

Robertson's comments are out of order and give ammunition to those who say Christians are irresponsible. Sharon is 77 years old, and when you are 77, you are susceptable to various physical ailments. In fact, many people die before they reach 77. Pat, in the future, perhaps you should have your staff review your comments before they are aired.

It might also be possible that God was gave Sharon a stroke for being 77, weighing 300 pounds, and having the most stressful job on the planet.

Whether or not Mr. Sharon's illness was "punishment" is not the issue, but indeed it is God who raises up and puts down leaders according to His divine purposes (which are always good, just, and righteous, Ps 19. ) We continue to pray for Mr. Sharon, his speedy recovery, and for our beloved Israel's children to return to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and for all the leaders of all nations, and all people everywhere to stand on the side of the Most High God, El Elyon - As He spoke through Israel's prophet Isaiah said: "For there is no other." All one needs to to do is seek the Lord while He may be found. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you. Study the Scriptures to see this is indeed the Lord's way. Test every spirit.

He who is coming soon is Jesus, the Messiah whom the Jews have been looking for. The majority of them rejected him the first time he came, but soon their hearts will be turned to Him, according to Scripture. We have watched so many of the prophesies about Israel being fulfilled, so we know this one will be as well. Pat Robertson was not speaking unkindly about Sharon. I know he loves Israel and Sharon, who has been such a great leader, but who is only human and was influenced by leaders in our country who do not have as great an understanding of the scripture and God's plan for Israel. God will not allow any man to thwart His plan for His people Israel and the land He gave them as their possession forever. They were taken from their land for awhile, but He miraculously brought them back, and the land can not be taken from them again according to scripture. One thing that confirms the validity of scripture is the fulfullment of prophecy, and we've seen so much fulfillment through the nation Israel already. It is the prophecies that are being fulfilled that enables us to know Jesus will return soon.
