jack   (07.13.06)
this is so out of control, i cannot see any other result than israeli invasion to fight hizbollah like it was an enemy country. shockingly out of control.
32. GO ISRAEL! Defend yourselves!
Deb ,   USA   (07.13.06)
If your enemy comes to kill you, kill him first. Do what you need to do to defend your country. It's about time. May God be with you!
33. Correct, #6
Hans ,   Austin, Texas US   (07.13.06)
Edward, you are correct. We don't care about the Arab lives lost. The people and leaders of the arab contries have only themselves to blame for this.
34. Stupid Hezbollah
David ,   Yerushalayim   (07.13.06)
Is it not obvious to them that Israel was waiting for an excuse to remove the Hezbollah threat once and for all? And they stepped right into it. Israel has made it very clear they are serious and that Syria or Iran will interfere at their peril. These guys thought they could get away with destabilizing Lebanon and Israel's north indefinitely. Now they may get what they've had coming in while. And all over a stupid little raid they carried out. They truly are stupid.
35. To Edward in Las Vegas
David ,   Yerushalayim   (07.13.06)
Arab lives do count. But evidently not to the Arabs. Sorry, but when these guys think they can get away with constantly attacking us and trying to kill us, even if they aren't very good at it, they need to know that they will provoke a counter attack that will hurt. They know that when they attack us, in the end more will die on their side. They are responsible. They attack us and now they cry about the casualties on their side? Give me a freakin' break. Are we supposed to just bend over? We withdrew from Gaza, and now they use it as a base to attack us. We don't do anything in Lebanon for a long time, but they use it for the same thing. Everyone knows it is Syria that controls Lebanon, and that Hezbollah is theirs and Iran's. Do you think we will give them back more, when all they do is use it against us?
36. Katyushas
Brod ,   USA   (07.13.06)
Israel should hit those lauching the Katyushas as well as those who supplied the savages with Katyushas.
37. Ceasefire
Arie   (07.13.06)
Lebann attacks our sovereign State then begs for mercy? It would be comic it it wasn't such a consistent arabid stance. Give them the ceasefire - AFTER the desert takes what used to be "Lebanon" back!
38. edward is right!
oded   (07.13.06)
arab lives just don't count... wow , you are finally getting it!
39. When they hit Shenkin we can expel them.

40. you are wrong eddie
yussel ,   brooklyn, ny   (07.13.06)
you do remember how this was all started - or is it ok to kidnap and murder israelis
41. Consider the climate...
Jan ,   New York City   (07.13.06)
I do not live in any Arab country, but considering what seems to be the climate, what other solution is there but war at this point? Everywhere you see Jews calling Arabs scum and inhuman, and you see Arabs doing the same thing. This whole thing seems absolutely ridiculous to other people because we haven't been indoctrinated with hate after years of military campaigns. I can't, off the top of my head, think of an instance in Arab history where genocide occurred, but I'd think the Jews would know better than to condemn an entire group of people as I've seen many Israelis doing. I understand the high tensions, but Israelis must see the parallels between these conditions and prewar Germany. Either way, as I said, the only thing that eventually solved the German hatred for Jews was the complete destruction of their country. Upsetting, really.
42. My first born child
Marcel ,   Florida   (07.13.06)
Now I know the name of my frst born child it will be "Katiyusha" for sure.
43. cause of war
eliezer ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.13.06)
It takes a man of war to make peace, but it is always a man of peace that causes a war.

45. we must DESTROY aLL hızbuLLAH s bases
haıfa   (07.13.06)
46. War on Israel
J   (07.13.06)
Israel should take the inniciative and flatten down the electricity generators of Lebanon, as well as bombing the Hamas HQ in Syria. After all, those countries are still on State of War against Israel.
47. To 6-Obviously arab lives don't count
Bushmills   (07.13.06)
otherwise why would they demand to exchange 2 of ours for a 1000 of them? Simple math.
48. edward my boy
e   (07.13.06)
i would expect the lebanese government to controll ond disarm all the terrorgroups in lebanon or face the consequence
49. katyushot
susan setton ,   mevasseret israel   (07.13.06)
PM Ohlmeret must make an appearance on TV and speak to the nation. we need to know what he has in mind. up unitl now he is avoiding the medai - tv stations, news agencies. he has to be out there once a day to encourage the people. that what he is doing is the right thing.
50. Liars
Scott ,   Haifa   (07.13.06)
Today the Hizbullah liars said they would send rockets to Haifa if Israel did anything to Beirut. Now tonight they sent two rockets to here in Haifa, my friends all heard them, and Israel has not touched Beirut - and they deny sending them now. Just shows the Islamofacists are the liars that they are.
51. May God protect Israel
Glenn ,   Alabama   (07.13.06)
My prayers are with you. War is terrible, but sometimes war is necessary in order to achieve peace. Israel will be victorious. Take care of this terrorist scum!
52. What do you expect?
Brad ,   USA   (07.13.06)
I find it amazing that Israel has sustained casualties by the hundreds from these so called freedom fighters and no one protested THAT. Yet when Israel strikes back and fights fire with fire, the world condems them. Don't give me the line either that it isn't their land, Both the Quran, Torah and Bible talk of the land of Israel. Israel has made numerous concessions for peace to the Arabs/Palestinians. However, when ever they do so, it is met with violence as a reward.
53. calling vegas
hanina ,   usa   (07.13.06)
that's right edvard, go back to gambling.
54. to no 29
(07.13.06)
You conveniently left out that Israel is holding some Lebanese prisoners and that Israel breaks the Lebanese sovreignty by their warplanes everyday. Oh, and you forgot that the Lebanese Intelligence caught Israeli Intelligence assassinating Lebanese Citizen on Lebanese Land just last month. Are you really in your mind?
55. to no 22
(07.13.06)
They'll deal with it. Do not worry! not the way you wish though. You'll suffer just like they do. They'll withstand, and win, and you'll be dragging your losing tail. Just watch!
56. fireworks in West Bank
rpc ,   Modiin, Israel   (07.13.06)
My daughter's window looks out on the green line and there have been fireworks for the past three hours. Look who's celebrating northern rocket attacks - our own country's Arab population!
57. To 6
Shai ,   Israel   (07.13.06)
Edward, when are you going to broaden your logic such that you can absorb the fact that Israel has absorbed civilian deaths at the hands of HIzbollah and Hamas, and that the only way to end this is to do what the PA and the Lebanese governments won't do? Believe us, we don't want to be there. It'd have been better had the PA and the Lebanese kept their commitments. But we cannot continue to wait for them, when the obvious cost of waiting is more Israeli deaths. This we can no longer countenance. If the result is that the Palestinians and Lebanese have to undergo a period of difficulty while we win decisively, so be it. We shed our last tears over that a long time ago, as we buried our brothers.
58. Let's see I think I have the quote right...
Jeremiah ,   Israel, Jewish Land   (07.13.06)
"If they attack Haifa and Hadera, it will constitute a reason to severely damage Lebanese infrastructures, including Hizbullah's 20-story buildings inside Beirut." We're waiting.
59. What do YOU expect?
Andy ,   Philadelphia   (07.13.06)
Do you expect Israel to sit by passively while its troops are kidnapped and its cities are bombed?
60. To #6
Jasmin ,   Haifa   (07.13.06)
Did you even *notice* that this war started when Hezbollah -- unprovoked -- attacked Israeli soldiers on our side of the border, killing 8 and wounding and kidnapping 2? It boggles the mind that you could know that and still think it's outrageous for Israel to mind, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
