Steiner, so long as we both agree that accepting the Arab Plan constitutes a "leap of faith." Without evidence, we can only have faith in the Arabs' desire to secure Israel's borders. I do not live in Israel and so have an easier time accepting Arab promises to secure Israel's borders. My life does not depend on it. Mark, you evaded my question (what evidence do you have to support your claims about peace) by listing several alternatives without any argument about why they could work. Of course, no man's land, walls, and checkpoints are the methods du jour. A DMZ makes sense if you believe the Arabs should not have a military. But for "peacekeepers," you name the IDF strategy.
62. #44 Steiner and foolproof guarantees

Steiner, why not identify those examples? Perhaps Israel can benefit from them. You say "We can either negotiate a solution as an equal partner or have one imposed on us one day." So you rule out imposing our own solution? And I don't mean disengagement. I mean expulsion, as Kahane intended.
