31. Carter Surrounds Himself w/Self'Loathing Jews
David P ,   Santa Cruz, USA   (01.04.07)
I've been on a private guided tour of Carters Library and I assure you he believes in everything he is doing. The primary Donors to his buidling all have arab and muslim sounding names, which shouldn't have any influence on the man himself, but it seems does. The people that work very closely with Carter, those affiliated with Emory University and his Library are Jewish and help to foster his beliefs by argueing for the arab side and not their fellow Jews. Its disturbing because behind Carters rhetoric, are Jews, people writing his speeches including his latest book. They are quik to point out everything Israel is doing wrong, yet offer no real solutions.

i hate it when people can't read the article
33. The real problem with Jimmy Carter
Marlene ,   New York City/USA   (01.04.07)
is that he did not say nearly enough. He is under the false illusion that apartheid exists only in the occupied territories and that Israel is a wonderful kind of democracy. Indeed, a democracy where Arab citizens are unequals and subjected to vile racism that would be protested with the loudest voice if the same were to happen to Jews living in the United States or Europe. I am also writing a letter to Jimmy Carter to praise him for his book, but to also inform him of what he does not know. Read Shulamit Aloni's article in YNET news today which was published in Hebrew only if you can, attesting to apartheid, which B'tselem has also attested to. ill be sure to send that article on to Jimmy Carter with the English translation so he knows that being called an anti-semite is the way to try silence people.

35. Carter
Dr.Joji Cherian ,   Aluva India   (01.04.07)
You call him antisemetic. But he is a true Christian and a quintessential American. If that is antisemetism, so be it.Jews want the world to revolve around them,14 million amongst 7 billion
36. Mr. Norenberg, you missed something
Khalid ,   The Netherlands   (01.04.07)
Mr. Norenberg, the writer of this article seems to miss the fact that in America, all inhabitants ( whether desendants of white immigrants, Africans or native Americans) are equal citizens whose citizenship rights are based on their birth rights in that country with no discrimination (in the legal system) based on the ethnic or religious background of a particular citizen There are no rods prohibited for certain ethnic groups and no areas or settlements designated for this or that ehnic group. In contrast, Zionist ideolgy is based on creating a preferential status for a certain religious group denying the inhabitants of the land (the Palestinians) their basic rights and delegating them to the staus of second class citizens. Carter is now free to express what his true conscious and his humanist instict is dictating, nw that he no longer holds an official position, with all the pressures brought along by the Zionist lobby. For Carter and for most freedom loving people, it is not acceptable, the fact that Israel is the only country in the world where cirizenship rights are not based on birth rights but on the religious affiliation of the individual concerned. In this way a Palestinian who was born in Palestine (and who can point out the graves of his ancestors on this land for generations back in time) has less rights tha a Russian or Romanian or Pole or, ... who just happened to be Jewish, with no proof whatsoever that this Jewish newcomer has originally came from that ancient Jewish Kingdom 2800 years ago. Judaism is a faith, and it is equally likely that the Jewish newcomer is just a native of the country of origin whose ancestors just embraced the Jewish faith at a certain time. In fact this is the most likely scenario, given the diversity of the external physical features of the newcomers, which betrays the Zionist claim that they all originally came from that ancient magical Israeli Kingdom 2800 years ago. The finds of most archeologists (incliding Israeli ones) refutes the Zionist claims about the existence of a so called pure Jewish nation. Judaism is a faith brought by God through Moses and not a nationhood charter. Of course, there is nothing wrong with accepting immigrants from different ethnic backgrounds but not at the expense of the rights of the original native inhabitants

38. Camp David was a successful political attack on Israel
Daniel ,   Formerly Israel   (01.04.07)
I don't understand why everyone in Israel loves Carter so much for camp David? Does anyone even understand what he did? Here's what? Egypts army was in ruins after their defeat in '73 and Sadat had no chance of Getting the Sinai back by war in the future, since Israel wouldn't be caught sleeping a second time and Syria wouldn't help him a second time. But Sadat had an ally in Carter, who used his influence as the leader of Israel's one historical ally to salvage victory from his failed invasion. Carter forced then PM Begin to reward Sadat for his agression by giving him back the Sinai. Of course Sadat had to demiliterize it, so he effectively handed it over to the PLO, which has been using it to train, smuggle weapons, and plan and launch terror attacks ever since. Camp David was a succesful attack that followed the unsuccesful one of '73 in whihc the Arabs reconquered a territory many times greater than the rest of Israel, and they did it without taking a single casualty. I'm not a consparacy theorist, Carter didn't intend for the Arabs to use the Sinai against Israel as they do, but he fact remains that Camp David was a crushing strartigic defeat for Israel and Carter is proud of having masterminded it
39. president carter's new book
yossi rachamim ,   norwood usa   (01.04.07)
as we used to say in the seventies."a b c" to read "anybody but carter"as a president.he was an agitator than as he is now.
40. Pay Carter no mind
Emily ,   Calif.   (01.04.07)
He's a stern prig who has an overly puffed-up sense of his own morals. His self-righteousness is nauseating. Yes, he has some good qualities, but he's way off base as far as his attitudes towards Israel go, and he was the worst president the U.S. ever had.
41. Apartheid in West Bank is alive
Yossi The Israeli ,   Bat Yam   (01.04.07)
Every Israeli soldier that serve in the West Bank know that what is going there is a simple Apartheid, setelments for Jews only, roads for Jews only, Land are taken from Palestians for use by Jews only... It is a shamful story in our history, let just be honest about and acting like we don't know.

Yes and that 7 billion will soon be kissing the butt of that 14 million.
45. Why do Ashkenazi Jews always forget Jews from Arab lands?
Semsem ,   New York, USA   (01.04.07)
Here we go again. An Ashkenazi Jew who totally avoids criticising Carter for ignoring the 1 million Jewish refugees forced to leave from the Arab countries. Either the author is an "ignoramus" or a racist against Mizrahi / Sephardi Jews.
46. Carter's book and the protocols
I. Brzezinski ,   Bloomfield, USA   (01.04.07)
"The protocols of the learned elders of Zion" first published in 1897 by Philip Stepanov are a best seller all over the world. Despite being a forgery it is enough to Google to find the extent in which this book became a corner stone in anti-Semitic thinking. Basically it suggest that Jews seek world domination by way of conspiracy, deceit, manipulations and control of money. It makes every Jew part of this massive organization. Nazi propaganda as seen in Der Sturmer, a journal published by Julius Streicher, is an actual repetition through the famous anti-Semitic cartoons, of the same theme. Jews have a conspiracy of domination. Now comes Jimmy Carter's book. The massage of the book, from the title and down, is un mistaken: Jews control the media, academic and political process in the USA and by inference the world. The fact that there is an Israel, an extention of the Zionist movement, is an instrument Carter uses to get to the Jewry at large. Israel is racist, discriminatory, occupying, manipulative and cruel typical to what Jews are. Through Israel you see the true face of the Jews. To achieve this goal his book is laced with lies, inaccuracies and planted ideas. The "Jewish lobby" is no other than the "learned elders of Zion." Same lady with a different dress. High Jewish enrollment to universities, high number of Jews in the media, political establishment, finance, theater, etc., are all indicative for Carter to prove the point: Israel treatment of Palestinians will not be different from the way that Jews treat the world. The world will be Apartheid were Jews are dominating and controlling. As a book of a former President it will reach every library in the USA and beyond. It will be a reference book in schools and universities. It will be in every public library and as the protocols issued about 100 years ago Carter's book will continue to be a source of anti-Semitism and the lies and misinformation will continue to circulate.
47. Nornberg's coments on Carter
C Friou ,   Nashua NH   (01.04.07)
Nornberg may not have read Carter's book. Possibly this person is bouncing off the handle.... the writer needs to separate from the erroneous biblical misreadinging that the Zonists have an uncondititional promise. The OT prophets spell it out rather well. There being but one God does that God promise to one family all of the riches with no regard to the needs of others? President Carter seems to have outlines the history with some care and with a high level of accuracy. Objectivity is is a challenge and Nornberg seems to have flunked the objectivity test. Israel isn't the problem - nor are the Palestinians the problem. The failure has been in over 50 years of US policy that has failed to be consistent. The US should have held back on aid to Israel as son as any settlements were allowed in either the West Bank or Gaza. Unfortunately, unless there is a peaceful resolution of the standoff the righteous (Israel) will be held acountable. With Gaza as a ghetto and the West Bank being muliple prisons Israel (right or wrong) will be seen as guilty.
48. #43, Muslims..why its a crime to admit Temple Mount is Jewis
David ,   Boston, USA   (01.04.07)
Why wont Muslims admit the Temple Mount is Jewish and where the Temples stood? How about Nablus being built on the JEWISH city of Shechem? When will Muslims admit the truth about Jews and Eretz Israel? Why is it a crime?
49. Why Ynet doesn't post my massages?(4 time)
Ron ,   LA   (01.04.07)
This is the 4 time I post it. Please publish the following massage. After Carter received tens of millions from Saudis, it is no wonder. Rachel Ehrenfeld in her Washington Times Co-Ed “ Carter Arab financiers” stated: “A quick survey of the major contributors to the Carter Center reveals hundreds of millions of dollars from Saudi and Gulf contributors” http://www.washtimes.com/op-ed/20061220-092736-3365r.htm Mrs. Ehrenfeld is an authority on the subject of terrorist financing and published highly praised book “Funding Evil, Updated: How Terrorism is Financed and How to Stop It “

GOOD MORNING! Mr. Yaron. It certainly took you a long time to realize this.
52. a couple of errors in post #41
Daniel ,   Formerly Israel   (01.04.07)
First of all, from what I gather, Palestinians come to work and travel throught the Settelments all the time, or at least they did befor the intifada, something that no Israeli could do in Palestinian parts of the West Bank without being kidnapped or murdered. Second of all, it is not Apartheid because it is not a matter of race or religion but simply of citizenship. The Settlements are under the control of the State of Israel (conquered in a defensive war Ifor those who don't know or have forgotten) and therefore only citizens or legal residents of Israel may reside there (a rule which the Settlers have graciously broken for peaceful Palestinian laborarers as I mentioned before). The reason that only Jews live there is that Arab citizens of Israel don't want to live in the settlements and in fact want to force all Jews out of them (now that sounds a bit like apartheid) but that is another matter. If Israel is guilty of Apartheid for keeping Palestinians out of Israeli-controlled sections of the West Bank, than any country that has ever refused entry to an immigrant is likewise guilty.
53. 41# for someone who believes in sharing.
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (01.04.07)
Your arab bretheren sure do hog all the oil unless we pay big money for it. What makes you any different than the Jews? You took their land long ago, and now you are upset because they have some of it back? For Shame! There aren't to many areas in the Middle East, China, Europe and Northern Africa, that the Muslims haven't taken by force, and shoved their form of Apartheid down the peoples throats.
54. So, the author is just another liberal mugged by reality.
AK   (01.04.07)
Here, the peace movement is a hoax to destroy Israel, and all Jewish participants are really useful idiots. It’s not just Carter; the whole peace movement and so- called peace initiatives are no different.
55. A woolly-minded individual without much analytical capabilit
aussie ,   melbourne   (01.04.07)
