There is a lot, I would like to answer to, but now just these points: * I also was shocked in the first place, when I heard that Mr. Ahmadinejad wanted to "wipe Israel off the map" ... until I found that this is a mis-translation or mis-interpretation, as there are many about Iran. For example he asks why the palestinians should bear the burden of the holocaust (in short) ... and this finally becomes to: "he denies the holocaust" (because he lays his finger in a wound of the West and some don't want to hear it?). He never said, he wanted to wipe Israel off the map, destroy it or similar things. What he said is not about the country, but about its regime. Probably the worst thing he did, was quoting Khomeini: 'This regime that is occupying Qods [Jerusalem] must be eliminated from the pages of history.' And he directly compares this to the history of his own country, the revolution in 1979, in which the Iranians by themselves overthrew the Schah-regime, they had suffered from. Iran was not "wiped off the map" or destroyed or nuked by this revolution. Shouldn't it be allowed to wish a political change somewhere in the world, just as we were happy about Gorbatschow's opening the "iron curtain". Different regimes are more or less democratic. They can be officially "controlled-democratic" (Putin), but democracy can also be cut by misinformation (propaganda). You forgot some really important facts. 1. Iran funds and trains terror groups ( Hezbullah, Hamas etc) 2. Iran has sent countless insurgents into Iraq to de-stabilize the region and kill as many people as possible. 3. Iran has openly said that Israel should be removed from the middle east. I would not wait around to see how they plan to accomplish this. 4. Iran has said that if the internationsl community interferes with their nuke program, they will retaliate (again, lets not wait to see how).
