(Zechariah 11:12-13) He would be despised and rejected . . . and would feel the pain of rejection: "He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief." (Isaiah 53:3) The Messiah would be despised by the world and rejected by Israel  "The Redeemer of Israel, their Holy One, To Him whom man (the world) despises, To Him whom the nation (Israel) abhors." I don't see any other way that would effectively discourage the devious means used to convert Jews into Christianity. Israel is a democratic country and everybody has freedom of worship. But that's where that freedom stops. They have no right to interfere in the beliefs of the Jewish population. They are taking advantage of the Israel's free society. If they tried to do that in Muslim countries, they wouldn't last a day.

You can put away your missionary handbook, cuz none of us are buying it. Isaiah 7:14 - First of all, this verse is taken completely out of context, as is evident if you've ever actually read Isaiah. But either way, it's a mistranslation of the word העלמה, which is indeed a young maiden (there are other Hebrew words used in the Tanakh that mean virgin). The Septuagint was a translation done by 72 rabbis -- however, Isaiah was not translated by them at this time; only the Five Books of Moses were (the Pentateuch). The Greek word used here is parthenos, which is used elsewhere (in Genesis 34: 2-3) to refer to a non-virgin woman. So either you're using a corrupted version of the Septuagint, or you simply don't know what you're talking about. Your other sources are likewise out of context or mistranslated. For example, Isaiah 53 (the "suffering servant") clearly refers to Israel (i.e. the Jewish people), not Jesus, and the word "כארי" (like a lion) is mistranslated as "pierced" in your version. Missionaries are vile racist wolves in sheeps' clothing. Their goal is to commit religious genocide. Firstly, the Prophets mention other small details about the time of the Messiah like oh......the resurrection of the dead, the Temple being rebuilt and there being no more wars to name a few. So if Jesus did exist according to what the Christian Bible attests, maybe you have one out of about one hundred. Wouldn't stand up in any court of law I know. Also, you don't seem to know your own Bible, it was Joseph who was supposed to be from the line of David, not Mary. And if Joseph wasn't Jesus' father....... Also, the Prophets talk about the Jews being scattered to the four corners of the earth and will one day return. Well we did, makes you think, huh? And a final point, if Jesus were to come back where would he go? He certainly wouldn't go to a church, he would have no idea what that was. he would of course recognise the synagoigue service, in a tongue he knew. as soon as he went into any church he would surely recoil at the sight of all those worshippers praying to the actual thing which was used for his execution. Jews were barred from universities, from various government and private sector jobs, from high ranks in the army, from schools, from social clubs, and more. That persecution only began to ease off in a big way after world war 2. And, oh yes, America also barred thousands of Jewish refugees from Europe, who ended up being killed by Hitler. As a Jewish secular i can only agree with this proposal . Some questions remain . Why not first of all recognise other tendencies of the religion ? This would make it much easier for secular Jews to return to a certain form of Jewish belief . Why not make it easier for non Jews to convert and recognise conversions performed by less Orthodox tendencies ? We are a democratic country . All have a freedom of religion , contrary to comparison made by some Israel haters . We have to prosecute false Jews , who under disguise of Halachic studies are only trying to convert Jews . One is even a "convert" to Judaism as he claims . Israel has to be a State for Jews , for all the Jews . Not ruled by halacha . And don't forget , most of the 6000 Brave men and women killed in the Independance war , were seculars or even anti religious .

Messianic Jews believe in Brit Hachadasha AND the Tanach, they have their weekly meetings on Shabbat (and not on Sunday) celebrate the jewish holidays (not the christian holidays), have their sons circumcised on the 8th day, like other jews also do, etc. So I'd say that Messianic Jews are at least as jewish as any secular Jew, and practises jewish culture more than many secular Jews.
