31. Partners?
Paul ,   Concord, USA   (03.30.07)
Territorial "jealousy" is a global problem for us(USA). China wants us expelled from the far east. Her power puts alliances with Japan, Taiwan and South Korea at risk. Russia wants us out of the "Soviet Orbit". That strains NATO et al. Iran wants us out of the Middle East(along with many others. That puts tenacles of venom on numerous fronts. (Iran is not alone-just the face) If our national resolve continues to erode, and our enemies are given any more freedom to "express themselves" we are facing a crushing implosion . Our capacity to remain as the "withholding force against the collapse of world freedom" will be vastly curtailed, and our own soil will be at risk. We must not falter! If we fail to exert decisive force in this arena, on this round, we will never get another opportunity. VIctory and strength will draw alliances to the table. Alliances themselves do not bring strength or victory, they only balance the aftermath both. We should value honor, duty, and country first! No one rushes to befriend the gutless or the weak. Quit crying about "partners" talking to enemies, and be so strong that turning away would be suicide, and not vice-versa.
32. My President-to#29
Paul ,   Concord,USA   (03.30.07)
The truth is that the whole world knows that the President is absolutely correct. Our enemies fear him, and are working feverishly to upend him-by ridicule, slander, and blather! Don't count him out yet either. The fat lady hasn't sung, and she isn't president yet. There are too many months left to believe that you can bury him yet. Though I am appaled by his stand on immagration, on the terror war, its magnitude and the players-he is totally correct. Any punk can ridicule another, but I doubt you have the stamina or guts he's shown in the face of extraordinary adversity. God bless Pres. Bush, and let our enemies be defeated by his hands.
33. Just by smell you know what was cooking!
Daniel ,   Israel   (03.30.07)
This conference doesn't smell like Arab world's usual cooking. It smells different; you don't require any expert to spell out what was cooked, eaten and digested. Soon.......Very soon.......Be prepared.....or you will be woken up with a rude shock...that might be much bigger than 9/11...a massive one...
34. Why is this not a surprise?
Ruvy in Jerusalem   (03.30.07)
In Daniel ii:40-41, it talks about the "king of the south" pushing against the "king of the north." Our sages have determined that the "king of the south" will really be a coalition of Arab states led by Persia. We're seeing Daniel's prophecy coming true right before our eyes...
35. Sever relations with Saudis
Brod ,   USA   (03.30.07)
It is time America and the West sever relation with the Saudis. It is time they stop importing Saudi oil. It is time to tell the Saudis-the head of the Octupus Islamist-Jihadist tentacles-terrorists around the world to go to Hell. The fact is Saudi savages attacked America on 9/11 and murdered 3000American civilians in COLD BLOOD!! In his indepth researched book, "Secrets Of The Kingdom" [2005], Gerald Posner reveals the connnection between the terrorists who attacked America on 9/11 and the Saudi Government. This book is a MUST READ for the whole world to know the truth!! American and Western officials who do not see the connections or the dots are either trying to cover up or are sleeping at the helm. It is time for Americans and the world to know the truth. Go to Barnes and Noble or Borders and get this book. And behind all the preachers of hate--preaching hate against Jews and Christians, and behind all the Islamist-Jihadist terrorisms around the world are the Saudis--funding, sponsorship, hate publications and human resources. Read "Hatred's Kingdom" [2003] by Dore Gold PhD, "Preachers of Hate" [2004] by Kenneth R. Timmerman and "Jihad Incorporated" [2006] by Steven Emerson. And now the Saudis are openly jihading against American forces in Iraq by supporting the Sunni Terrorists and condemning America. IT IS TIME FOR AMERICA TO SEVER ITS RELATION WITH SAUDI ARABIA. IT IS TIME FOR AMERICA TO STOP IMPORTING SAUDI OIL. IT IS TIME FOR AMERICA TO LET THE PEOPLE OF SAUDI ARABIA DETERMINE THEIR OWN GOVERNMENT AS GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE INSTEAD OF GOVERNMENT OF CORRUPT OPPRESSORS , DICTATORS, WAHHABISTS AND JIHADISTS.
36. Saudi Arabia loves Saudi Arabia
MARK ,   USA   (03.30.07)
The One with all the oil calls all the shots. The Saudis know Bush plays all sides.
37. This was planned to Weaken Israel
MARK ,   USA   (03.30.07)
Saudi Arabia wants the US out of the peace process and that way Israel wil stand all alone. Mr. Bush will not force concessions on Israel. The Arab League will. The US is out of the roadmap and is replaced by Saudi Arabia. Bush and Saudi Arabia both win. Bush no longer has to force Israel to make concessions. Bush will sell his soul to the devil for OIL.
38. KING SAID 'ILLEGAL WAR ON IRAQ'
george ,   usa   (03.30.07)
SO DOES THAT MEAN HE IS ANTI-AMERICAN, ANTI-BUSH, BINLADEN LOVER, LIBERAL, COMMUNIST, LEFTIST? WILL BUSH, CHANEY & OTHER NEO CONS LABEL HIM AS SUCH? what will FOX BS channel blame the 'liberal' media? DUH!
39. to Paul #32-your judgement is clouded
dic rumsfled ,   usa   (03.30.07)
are you going to label the saudi king anti bush, anti american now. THE CENTRAL QUESTION IS 'WHAT HAS IRAQ GOT TO DO WITH 911& NOT IRAQ IS THE CENTRAL WAR ON TERROR?! YOUR STATEMENT bush will defeat the enemies by letting BIN LADEN ESCAPE, BY NOT READING THE PDB 'OBL DET. TO ATTACK US' BY WASTING THE TAXPAYERS MONEY, BY CUTTING THE FUNDS FOR THE VA & PUTTING INTO THE POCKETS OF HIS OILBUDDIES! DUH!

43. Time to wake up?
Ram ,   London   (03.30.07)
Sometimes the truth can stare you in the eye for a long time but you just can't see it. If one is religious they believe the Lord acts in mysterious ways and so He knows to do the right thing. If one believes the Lord helps those who help themselves then they plan a course of action and hope it will succeed. Whether religious or not let us look at the current situation in the ME vis-a-vis the US , Europe and Israel. Over the last 30 years or so the US has done all it could to court the Saudis. What for? There can be no other reason than for the oil and the petro dollars resulting from its sale. Other than that absolutely nothing. Meanwhile in the last 30 years or so what has the Saudi Royal family been doing? In return for securing their monarchy and the benefits thereof, the Saudis have given full power to wahhabism to spread its tentacles within and without Saudi Arabia. Just in Europe and the US, the Saudis have financed the building of tens of thousands of mosques and paid for imams to help spread this radical form of islam, totally unempeded. It is therefore no surprise that the after effects are now being felt accross the western world. But there is more. Ayatollah Khomeni was allowed to radicalise Iran for similar western interests. The rest of the arab states and people were included within the umbrella of influence of the oil producing countries. The West has remained deaf and blind to the goings on, both within the arab countries and the rising arab and muslim population within their midst. In their countries the arabs continually transmit negative propaganda towards the West but the West has just considered this to be a rhetoric for internal consumption. We now have a situation whereby the US is bogged down in Iraq and Afghanistan, the EU showing animosity towards the US for the usual oil petrodollars, the Israelis humiliated in the Lebanon war and the oil producing countries richer than ever. They are emboldened to a frenzy. History has shown that only battles fought decisively and to an absolute defeat of one's enemies can produce a lasting solution. If the enemy is not perceived to be so because of oil and petrodollars, then, we have the effects of enemy work but no enemy? Wheteher one likes to admit it or not, there is a war between islam and the West only that islam is fighting it as a war whereas the West refuses to see it as a war. In the meantime islam is gaining momentum, courage and strength (because of the increasing supply of sophisticated armaments by the West) and has no intention of stopping this progress until it achives total victory. Logis says that if not stopped before long the world will be under their domination.
44. Slowly, slowly, the truth is revealing itself
Raymond from DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (03.30.07)
In the 1990's we were exposed to the "New Middle East" propounded by the likes of Peres and Beilin. (Clinton, sadly, bought into this illusion.) In the post 9/11 world, we were to see democracy spread through the Middle East, starting with Iraq. But slowly (all too slowly, I fear) the truth is coming out. Arafat was never a "former" terrorist, and his underling Abbas is just a terrorist in a suit. The Palestinians don't intend to live "side by side" with a Jewish state. Removing Saddam just removed the check on Iranian expansionism. Saudi Arabia was never "moderate"; their interests were, and remain, to stay in power, keep the price of oil high, and spread their radical brand of Islam. Rice, however, remains as clueless as ever, and Israel's feckless four - Olmert, Peretz, Peres and Livni - continue selling illusions.
45. Lets just get it over with!
67cj5   (03.30.07)
The Arabs say the west is evil. The west says the Arabs are evil. The arabs say its all about oil. The west says its all about democracy. The fact is it does not really matter. Lets just get it on! It is apparent now that we cannot get along. Let the wars begin in force. The victor will write the history books and the matter will be settled once and for all. Then we can all worry about the next conflict. Enough of this B.S. lets just settle it the way the world always has. If the west is too P.C. to fight to win then screw it we deserve to lose!
46. Saudi Arabia
David Powell ,   Everett, Wa. USA   (03.30.07)
Finally Saudi Arabis is showing it's true colors. They can't be trusted.
47. # 26 You are right on
Chaim ,   Canada   (03.30.07)
The Saudis are some medieval despots who still believe in slavery and that women are non-persons. Their people are uneducated and do not contribute anything to the world. If the Americans had the political will they could find alternative energy very quickly, and then the Arabs, deprived of all the $ Billions, would quietly go back to their tents and the world would be much more peaceful.
48. to #35 -
clinton chaney ,   usa   (03.30.07)
it is like the military-industrial complex but this is called the 'OIL INDUSTRIAL-CONGRESSIONAL-WHITE HOUSE-SAUDI' COMPLEX. yes, the only solution is to find alternative fuel sources BUT BIG OIL INDUSTRIES WILL BLOCK THAT SOLUTION! Remember oil is BIG BUSINESS!! WHY IS EXXON, SHELL, & BP ARE POSTING BILLIONS OF $ WORTH OF PROFITS & CEO OF EXXON HAS $400,000,00 RETIREMENT PAY + $50,000 BONUS PAY! I DO NOT HEAR PAT ROBERTSON CONDEMN THEM AS 'LOVERS OF MONEY' W/C IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVILS!! ROBERTSON ONLY CONDEMNS THE LIBERAL/DEMOCRATS FOR THE ILLS OF THIS COUNTRY!
49. Arabs
Nemesis   (03.30.07)
The Americans/Brits could solve all this bullshit with the Arabs with about 2 weeks of concentrated airstrikes,24/7..Iran,Saudi Arabia, etc.,without ever putting an infanteer onthe ground..Arab allies..forget it it..they smile in your face and stab you in the back..blow them all up,get this over with, take their oil...and feed'em rice!
50. saudis turn on Washington
leib ben yisrael ,   madison wisconsin us   (03.30.07)
now that Saudis have made overtures to Russia, Iran and Hamas US can feel free to drop the facade of their friendship and place them where they belong-against the West, against democracy-next step is for US to treat Abbas as no different from Hamas, to stop the security training to refrain from pressure on Israel to withdraw, to set a timetable for Syrian end to support for Iraqi insurgency and to stop Iran's nuclear program

Steve G ,   Kew Gardens, NY, USA   (03.30.07)
If the Saudis think they can veer from Bush and look to support for their policies from the Democrats, they have guessed wrong. The Democrats remember who the maniacs were on those hijacked planes: Saudi Jihadists.
