61. the Saudis turning their back on the US? HA!
Cameron ,   USA   (03.31.07)
You & I both know that the Saudis will start squalling like a stuck pig for the US to be their sole savior the very moment they feel truly threatened by an outside power. Neither country is terribly enthusiastic about that arrangement, but let's not kid ourselves about the true bottom line for the Saudis: regime survival. Only the US can ward off that kind of threat. Internally? Now thats another arena entirely.
62. Yitzhak Benhorin you just don't get it.
Ingrid Svensson ,   Oslo Norway   (03.31.07)
The Saudis know that the democrats are winning the next US elections , hands down, and they are turning away from the Bush administration and siding with the democrats and will most likely be rewarded for their support once the democrats are in power. Defacto paving the way for ringing endorsement for the Saudi Plan, once the White House is back in the democrats hands.
63. Americans hate Saudi Arabia
David ,   Boston, USA   (03.31.07)
So cancelling a gala is no big deal. We know Saudi Arabia exports terrorism with its oil. Saudi Arabia is the greatest threat to the planet. They create more terrorists every day. I hope the Muslim states of the FSU refuse their hate school. Saudi education is dangerous to the world.
64. #39 and #42
Paul ,   Concord   (03.31.07)
I label the Saudi's duplicitous. 911 hijackers were primarily Saudi. Wahabism is funded by Saudi's worldwide. The dichotomy of the Saudi Royals dancing with the devil, because I know alQaida would like to see them gone as well, is a nightmare we both fear. That doesn't mean that the King won't jump ship on us in a hot second. Iraq has become the "line in the sand" for the jihadists. They loose all steam if Iraq succeeds. I'm dubious that anything but a "three state" solution will prevail, but we cannot allow Iran to annex Iraqi territory. #42 dismising me as bs shows your lack of capacity for a credible discussion. History is full of proof that the majority is not always right. I am not ashamed of my position, and by the way, I have spent time there.
65. USA, Israel is your only friend in the middle east
(03.31.07)
Even if you sell Israel down the river, they will still hate you Until you get that, we waste time
66. Too bad the U.S. did not capture the saudi
jason white ,   afula,israel   (03.31.07)
oil fields in 1974. Instead of arming the enemy wahabis. The saudis are the enemy and if they had no oil they would have no say in the world. How they can turn on their poodle, hajj bush is really amazing. Maybe he will wake up and see them for what they are.Terrorists and terrorist supporters and the enemy of the west.
67. 2008 US president will be Republican
IAK ,   usa   (03.31.07)
The Democrat candidates are weak: Barak Hussein Obama has little chance to win, too many Americans dislike Hillary Clinton and John Edwards will drop out of the race due to his wife's illness. The strongest candidates (Guiliani, McCain, Romney) are on the Republican side and polls show them ahead of the Democrats.
68. #67-cat, I pray you are right
Cameron ,   USA   (03.31.07)
The Dems utterly reek of sniveling, whining, self-destructive disaster. I place no faith in that pack of 'weak sisters'.
69. to #14..
Flash ,   New York, USA   (04.01.07)
Israel will lose in front of a united arab force. Israel may continue to live but zionism will be destroyed worse than South Lebanon. The Arabs have the numbers to walk over Israel and take it over. Israel needs to think twice before acting stupidly.
70. post 52/ response
Flash ,   New York, USA   (04.01.07)
Its amazing how the jews demonstrate the most murderous and extreme ideas yet the Arabs are called the terrorists. You only have to read through these posts and see who is who. And with all their talk, its amazing how a jew crumbles like stale cookie in front of an Arab. Liek God said, the jews will be cowards forever.
71. Saudi Arabia - USA
Ricardo Kolbe ,   Cologne - Germany   (04.02.07)
Many weeks prior to the Twin Tower attack the royal family was heavily complaining to Mr. Bush that Israel is annexing parts of occupied Palestine by building the "Wall". Mr. Bush became irritated writing to the Saudis that he of course supports a Pal.State with Al-Quds as a capital. Nothing happened since then. The March 2002 Saudi peace initiative was flatly rejected by Israel (after consultations with the US). So, why in all honesty should they trust this US Admin. Obviously, they realize now that they have a State Department of their own and that they don't only want to be recognized as a "moderate" (dependent on the US) Arab state, however as a key player in the League of Arab Nations.
