If you watch Channel 2 TV and particularly Ronni Daniel's reports you will see that today the IDF videos everything. However, you can't force the foreign media to broadcast out point of view. You might remember the Nachman Shai of Gulf War fame was given the job of explaining our side at the Sharem Confrenece a few years ago. He gave EVERY foreign TV reporter a video tape but not one channel screened it! That is why we must establish our own propaganda channels. The problem is that many have suggested this over the years, but, as usual, the suggestions fall on deaf years or get fouled up in bureaucracy! A further problem is apathy and complacency. Archbishop Desmond Tutu ha criticized Israel in his "investigation" of the 2006 Beit Hanoun incident in which 18 Palestinians were killed. Has anyone seen an interview with the Archbishop on ANY TV channel to challenge his findings? This is the problem. Be it Israel's politicians or critics our media just lets them get away with it. The French court has not endorsed the allegation that the footage of al Dura being killed by Israeli forces was faked. It has said that it was legitimate to say so since the media monitor felt it strongly enough. The court did not say allegation against France 2 was true and there are grounds to interpret what the court has said as being that the allegation was false. Every Western media outlet that uses Palestinian video or audio reports knows that there is little if any objective checking of these claims. In addition many foreign reporters especially from the BBC, CNN and French media are openly anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian. This is not just 'political bias' - the Palestinians blew up the Oslo 'peace process' with suicide bombings against Israeli civlians; the Palestinians then elected Hamas who are dedicated to Israel's destruction. Therefore, continued uncritical media support for Palestinians is anti-semitism, which denies Palestinian wrongdoing and claims to be simply anti-Israel critcism. In the U.S., the PBS (Public Broadcasting Service) program Newshour showed a report on the Al-Dura incident as reported by Britain's ITN (Independent Television News) which claimed that after much shooting between Israeli soldiers and Palestinians during which the boy and his father crouched in terror "the Israelis killed the boy". This claim was made and re-broadcast in the U.S. without any attempt at verification by outside observers or consideration of other possibilties such as Palestinian responsibility for the boy's alleged death. The evidence seems to show that the incident was staged, like so many others, and simply re-broadcast around the world to feed a global appetite for anti-Jewish / anti-Israel lies. It is very difficult to fight global antisemitisn especially when the media are a large part of the problem.
