31. #12: Israel attacked Palestinians and took their by force
Jon ,   USA   (10.20.08)
and only force (unlimited US taxpayers money, arms, UN vetoes, and recently wars) keeps you on the Arab land that you are currently on. Just save your crap to tell it to Palestinians when they liberate their country and come back to find you on their land.
32. Olmert wants to give away Wet Bank and E. Jerusalem
Millicent ,   Israel   (10.20.08)
Why not just give them back the whole country? if you give back the West Bank do you really think it will bring peace with the Palestinians? They will just move the rocket launchers closer to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and bombard the rest of the country till we have no Israel. You cannot give land to those who want you dead and gone, they do not want peace with Israel but the Whole Piece of Israel! Olmert you are an old Fool!
33. to #5: Yishai, this is NOT ur land!
wildmandxb ,   dubai   (10.20.08)
Yishai, this is not ur land dear, this is our land, u occupied it, we don't care if it was urs three milleniums ago, this is the same lame excuse u give all the time,we were there till 1948...ask ur grandparents where they orginally come from, ask any 'israeli' ..i promise u their answer won't be 'israel'
34. olmert still selling realestate?but this property is not his
yahn goodey   (10.20.08)
he has as much authority to sell our land to foreigners as i do to sell the golden gate bridge to the highest bidder. olmert is delusional to even try this scam and abbas is equally delusional to believe olmerts fantasies.
35. israel's will
marcel   (10.20.08)
Israel under Olmert, barak and maybe livni are losing the will to live. Give back everthing and demand nothing in return. Hoping that somehow God will infuse arabs with peace. Well. Olmert has done all of this to win favor with Mazzuzz so he won't indict him. Barak's ego is huge, his track record is lousy. Livni ran from egyptian foreign mininster geit and also did not resign when she challenged olmert unsuccessfully. Yet she does have real conviction about israel so we'll see.You don't just give up lands and say who cares. the arabs have been asked to do nothing and that is the heart of the problem.
36. To #31
Gary Glaser ,   Hutchinson, MN, USA   (10.20.08)
I see you're from the USA. You'd better pray that I don't come looking for you.
37. To Sholom
Abdulah the Maniak ,   Ramallah   (10.20.08)
One day you will wake up to the reality that there are no Palastinian people and that the Arabs are the invading occupiers that want all Jews dead!
38. WE HAVE 2 PROFESSIONAL LIARS,,,, OLMERT AND ABBAS.
BELIEVE MICKEY MOUSE ,   ..............DACON9   (10.20.08)
39. #33 - wildmandxb, this is NOT ur land!
Joe ,   Ramat Gan   (10.20.08)
wildmandxb, this is not ur land dear, this is our land, u occupied it, we don't care if it was urs 60 years ago, this is the same lame excuse u give all the time, you illegally occupied it till 1948...ask any 'Palestinian' where they orginally come from, ask any 'Palestinian' ..i promise u their answer will be Syria because a country named 'Palestine' never, ever existed!
40. What a government
Jack ,   USA   (10.20.08)
Please help me, is this not a "transitionary government?" Doesn't that make such offers illegal? Any people wonder while the Right-wing has lost faith in the legal system. Maybe this kind of stuff is why.
41. The WB is our land and The League of Nations confirmed
Jack ,   USA   (10.20.08)
Many people claim that this is not our land. Therefore, we must leave. This is totally false. True it would take a good deal of effort to explain why this is our land. Perhaps some of you media people would write an editorial piece explaining the real history of Jewish rights to this land, including the West Bank and Gaza.
42. All of Jordan is ok but have dream for the Jerusalem and W.B
e.m.Jordan is Palest ,   s.f   (10.21.08)
Beside in case Olmert promised to you then go get from him too.
43. #23
h3x3 ,   USA   (10.21.08)
its unbelievable what kind of comments right-wingers and revisionists publish on every single article on ynet, jpost, haaretz. thanks #23 for the exeption you made!
44. #33, aren't you from Dubai?
Alex ,   Haifa, Israel   (10.21.08)
Then how in the world can this land be yours?
45. #31 - Jon, 'Palestinians' never had a country...
Joe ,   Ramat Gan   (10.20.08)
'Palestinians' never had a country to begin with. Not once has a country called Palestine ever existed. Modern-day 'Palestinians' are descended: a) from Syrians who illegally emigrated from the French Mandate to support the Jewish citrus industry; b) the Roman occupiers who ethnically cleansed the land of its indigenous Jewish population; and c) the Muslim colonists who invaded from modern-day Saudi Arabia. I would end this talkback by saying, "Death to Palestine", but it's tough for something to be dead if it never existed in the first place...
46. Olmert's gesture means to Jews what Balfour meant to Arabs
Joe ,   Ramat Gan   (10.20.08)
From the river to the sea, Judea will be free!!!
47. To #23
Maurice ,   Los Angeles, USA   (10.21.08)
You want to know why. Well let me tell you. Because it is ours not the arabs, not anybody else. Millions or our people died by pepetual persecutions for centuries for this land. Can you look in the face of IDF soldiers and tell them your comrades died for nothing. I understand the demographic issues etc. but we are going about it the wrong way. The solution is encourage the arab to leave (money is the best solution). You don't seriouly think that the arabs want to live in peace with Jews?. Their demands will never stop until there are no more Jews in Israel. Let's not be naive and let's recognize the enemy when we see it and deal with the theat.
48. Olmert also promised to give up hummus
Ran   (10.21.08)
...and stop owning it as if it were an Israeli dish. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough...
49. Omert a liability to the land
jeffrey brock ,   Knoxville, USA   (10.21.08)
...for the one who wishes to give the land away, I suggest we all gather on his doorstep and drag him outside and carry him to the Iranian border. Before long, it looks like he is going to be working with the Iranians on getting Tel Aviv handed over to muslim control. Who does he think he is..... I suggest we all pray for Mochiach to come and take Omert away and then we can all live in true peace. I believe if Mochiach met Omert, He would ask Omert if he was a real Jew or a spy...Yet I know He already knows what Omert is, a true Edomite.
50. Good job Olmert
Bhaskar ,   Edmonton, Canada   (10.21.08)
Olmert, You know that your words, meetings with Arabs is just useless. So you can offer them complete Moon, saying that Moon would be capital of Palestian. Who cares?
51. To # 36
Jawad ,   Jordan   (10.21.08)
Why is USA the land of the free or the lost freedom,Every one have the right to express himself, without threatning each other. Shame on you
52. #39: Palestine never existed???
wildmandxb ,   dubai   (10.21.08)
what do u mean palestine never existed? this shows how pathetic your mind is! We all know that it existed , 'israelis' just chose to ignore it for their own sake! stop this crap people, you know you took someone elses land, and this is agreed upon by many jews, plenty of them are known politicians and celebrities, do you want me to name them to you? i think you know them very well. One more thing, i'd appreciate if you choose your own style of talkback, the way you expressed yourself by imitating my ideology is lame and cheesy!
53. Yes and for the 20th time you will refuse
Steve from Raleigh   (10.21.08)
"Almost all of the West Bank" is meaningless to the PLO. They want everything from Sinai to Amman.
54. Lock Olmert up!
Petra ,   USA   (10.21.08)
Or, put him under house arrest before this thief gives Israel away to her enemy. He needs to be in a mental institution. What a putz.
55. Tel Aviv first
Jake   (10.21.08)
must be given to the Palestinians: Starting with the Jaffa "artists' colony" (Arab land), Tel Aviv University campus (Sheikh Muwanis), and part of Tel Aviv beach (al Manshiyah). In fact, according to legend, after Mohammed returned from his tour of paradise on his winged horse at al Aksa, he got hungry and made a stop in Tel Aviv at the Abulaffia bakery, before heading back to the Hijaz. The Hassan Bek Mosque marks the site where Mohammed tied his winged horse while having lunch.
56. Is Umm al-Fahem more Israeli than Sur Baher?
Jake   (10.21.08)
Last I heard, the Arab mukhtar of Sur Baher championed a Jerusalem united under Israeli sovereignty, and endorsed Nir Barkat for mayor in the municipal elections. I never heard this kind of news coming out of Umm al-Fahem. If the issue is about demographics, why give up East Jerusalem, for goodness sake? Why not give Umm al-Fahem, Kafr Kara, Tayibeh, Baqa al-Gharbiyah, etc. to the Palestinians, since the locals admit they are Palestinians? There are 1000's of Jews living in eastern and northern Jerusalem. How many Jews live in the Israeli "Arab triangle"?
57. #52: You Know The Drill
emanon ,   USA   (10.21.08)
58. # 39: If Palestine ever existed...
Michael D. ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (10.21.08)
As a sovereign country, answer these questions: When was it founded and by whom? What were its borders? What was its capital? What were its major cities? What constituted the basis of its economy? What was its form of government? Can you name at least one Palestinian leader before Yasser Arafat? Was Palestine ever recognized by a country whose existence, at that time or now, leaves no room for interpretation? What was the language of the country of Palestine? What was the prevalent religion of the country of Palestine? What was the name of its currency? Choose any date in history and tell me what the approximate exchange rate of the Palestinian monetary unit against the US dollar, German mark, GB pound, Japanese yen, or Chinese yuan on that date was. And, finally, since there is no such country today, what caused its demise and when did it occur?
59. #52: Plenty of Arabs say "Palestine" is Jewish land
Jake   (10.21.08)
and more would say so if they didn't have the threat of death hanging over their heads. In 1919, Sherif Hussein and King Faisal, who represented the Arabs at the Paris peace conference, signed documents that earmarked Palestine as Jewish land.
60. To Shlomo the Homo, #3
Jake   (10.21.08)
"I srael should solve the Plastenian problem with class and honesty. I sreal also should gave up the golan and solve the syrian issue." Yep, it takes one to know one. One way or another, we're all getting screwed.
