As a Canadian living in Sweden for over a decade in the 80's-90's I was appalled by the outrageously one-sided reporting by the only two (state-run) TV1 & TV2 channels (and the 100% state run radio). Stone-throwing palestinians (fighting their oppressors, of course) night after night, year after year, were the typical daily leader. Like the Palestinian youth today, a generation of swedes grew up on state-sponsored anti-semitic propaganda -and private media quickly picked up the torch when the stalinist grip on the media was finally loosened. Shocking for a "western democracy".

What's happened here is that now one can say, "I"m not anti-semitic but I just don't like Israel". So the Israel and Israeli's become the new boogeyman instead of "Jews" in general. It's not politically correct to say one is Anti-Semitic, but it is very acceptable to hate Israel and portray it as a boogeyman, that comes in the night to steal Arabs organs, conduct all kinds of wild experiments on non-Jews and kill indiscriminately. Right? After-all, most of those Israeli's are....well......shhhhhh...you know! I can't say it because that would be politically incorrect and one might accuse me of being anti-semitic.

I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised to see so many Swedes being critical of this editor. It's good to know there are people who are familiar with this particular tabloid, and are disgusted by the utter lack of journalistic ethics that were displayed there. I really don't see how you could possibly take yourself seriously as a journalist after publishing something like this. It is plain libel. You are not antisemitic, it's true, but you and the whole of the European left are fed Arab antisemitic lies and propaganda, and you base your views on what is going on here. Before you start heaping praise over some of the Swedes that have turned up here supporting the official Israeli ranting, please understand this: Pro-Israeli sentiments are only shared by a small but vocal minority of Europeans, usually affiliated with extreme right wing moslem haters and fanatical evangelical christians. In the first case, they are thrilled to see moslems getting killed ( and if the moslems were all killed, guess who they'd be going after next ), and in the second case, they only need the jews to tend the land of Israel until the christian messiah comes back.
