32. Just when we think we have a deputy
jason white ,   afula,israel   (01.13.10)
f.m. with a pair, he turns out to be a eunuch like all the ministers. We have a knesset filled with "jews" with ghetto mentality. A coward for a p.m. and a slimy, toad for an unelected pres. The hell with the turks. They are not our friends. They have an anti Zionist government . Their hands drip with the blood of the innocent Kurds they killed, wounded and raped over the years. Not to mention the genocide of the Armenians that showed hitler the way was open to kill millions of Jews and the world will not raise a finger to stop him. Stop running after the turks. We can live without them and if the Jews of turkey do not read the writing on the wall, then that is their misfortune. Stop travel and trade with turkey now. Have a little self respect and vacation in Israel.
33. never say you're sorry
rul   (01.13.10)
if turkey can't face the facts, the hell with them. israeli's looking like wimpy little dogs. what's the matter with you. stop it.
34. Israel's weakness weakens us all
Morris ,   USA   (01.13.10)
Another Jew apologies to a mortal enemy for standing up for himself and for us (worldwide Jewry). We are all weaker because of this unnecessary apology.
35. ...
Me   (01.13.10)
Dunno why 9 out of 10 Americans coming here to drop a comment are ludicrously ignorant, heinous and bigoted ...
36. 1917: 8000 Tel Aviv Jews deported by their Turkish "allies"
Jake   (01.13.10)
As recorded by Sir Mark Sykes: “On April 1 an order was given to deport all the Jews from Tel-Aviv, including citizens of the Central Powers, within 48 hours. A week before, 300 Jews were expelled from Jerusalem; Jamal Pasha declared that their fate would be that of the Armenians; the 8,000 deportees from Tel Aviv were not allowed to take any provisions with them; and after the expulsion their houses were looted by Bedouin mobs; two Yemenite Jews who tried to oppose the looting were hung at the entrance to Tel Aviv so that all might see, and other Jews were found dead in the dunes around Tel Aviv.”
37. I want an apology from all Muslim states
Yaniv ,   Israel   (01.13.10)
for prophet/warlord Muhammad beheading 900 innocent Jewish boys and men one day at a Mecca market for refusing Islamic conversion after being captured because they were Jewish. That crescent in your Turkish flag is just as offensive to me as a nazi flag. Please remove the crescent from your flag and send an apologize along with $2 trillion to Israel in compensation for all the property theft, pain and suffering done by Islam throughout history unto the Jewish people.
38. #33 " never say you're sorry"even when you are
Sami ,   Lebanon   (01.13.10)
totally wrong! right? What an idiot and crooked mentality you represent.
39. It is already done thousands apologizes won’t help
e.m.Jordan is Palest ,   s.f   (01.13.10)
Because they already chosen the wrong side of history, they are going back to 7 century and this fanatic’s regime never will give up and how much you will apologize will not help because the next day they will have another excuse, I really feel sorry for those seculars Turk that are well educated but unfortunately they are going to suffer and may will leave to other countries if the regime will not change that will happen.
40. #2 Ricardooooo
(01.13.10)
And DO you have anything to be proud of in the first place? you talk like buffooon.
41. Chatich # 6
(01.13.10)
That would be the ideal thing for you to do. I DARE YOU !!!
42. No. 7 Vijay
NYC Girl   (01.13.10)
What I'm afraid you're missing is that this goes beyond criticism of a particular government. This is propaganda created for the sole purpose of engendering hatred against Israel. And as you've probably noticed, when Muslims get whipped into a frenzy, it frequently devolves into violence.
43. israel 0 Turkey 3
Al ,   US   (01.13.10)
iz o Turkey 3
44. #37 Yaniv
Yunan Amram ,   Israel   (01.13.10)
Common Yaniv, be real! Were you there? What are your sources? Idiots like you are making us loose credibilty. When you lie, try to make it beievable. I have read many history books, and its my understanding that people who refused to convert to Islam ( be it Christians or Jews, who Muslims refer to as the people of the book), they were assesed a certain tax and allowed to worship freely. Get your facts straight.
45. #44 yunan
Marcel ,   Florida   (01.13.10)
The history od Islam from the beginning until today is know by all except for the followers of the false prophet mohammed. They all have things in common ,they are liars and agreement breakers.
46. Danny Ayalon
Haim ,   UK   (01.13.10)
Danny Ayalon was forced to lick back his own spytt from the ground . Bad for him.
47. # 9 Get it right this time or you will be doing it again
Ann   (01.14.10)
Israel gets away with all sorts of things simply because it`s Israel. The world of diplomats is another matter. Behavior is very controlled and officious. No free passes for rude behavior. If you appoint a thug as FM, then you should expect thuggish behavior. Is anybody surprised?
48. Kurd
Havi   (01.13.10)
what kind of brotherhood is that ? How ridiculous.. even the most primitive tribes in the corner of the world have most rights than kurds in turkey have. we have no one but God . we live with hope that some day God will hear our cry.....God bless İsrael.
49. To: No. 27
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.13.10)
Sigh. What about the precipitating event -- the repulsive and entirely false depictions of the State of Israel that are aired on state-owned Turkish television stations? Selling babies? Summary executions of children in Gaza? Not to mention the accusation by Erdogan that Israel committed war crimes in the 2008/09 incursion into Gaza. Don't you think it is extraordinarily hypocritical for ANY Turkish official (never mind the head of state) to have done so, in view of Turkey's history of genocide with respect to the Armenian people (early 20th century) and the ongoing massacres of Kurdish people by the Turkish military? Has it occurred to you that this recent tempest in a teacup is nothing more than a red herring, which Iran has pressured Turkey to devise in the Islamic Republic's desperate attempt to deflect Israel's attention? Rather shameful for Turkey to have knuckled under so easily -- you have to know that warmer ties between Turkey and Iran will almost certainly put an end to Turkey's aspirations to join the European Union and will probably lead to Turkey's expulsion from NATO. Is it worth it to Turkey to engineer a diplomtic incident with Israel, merely to accommodate Iran, whose current regime will not last much longer? Turkey enjoys a rather long border with Iran -- has Iran threatened Turkey in a material way? I suspect it has, in which case I wonder why Turkey hasn't turned to NATO for help. That’s the purpose of NATO. Why is Turkey knuckling under so readily? I suppose that it really is irrelevant, because Israel has not taken the bait and has acted to defuse the situation. But why would Turkey, a sovereign state, allow itself to be bullied by Iran?
50. There are 2 sides in every story
Disgusted ,   ME   (01.14.10)
2 reduculous unprofessional "diplomats": Turkish Arrogan and Israeli Yallah-on.
51. 27, how about somthing new from u?Gaza excuse is getting old
(01.14.10)
52. Screw the Turkish people
avraham ,   nyc   (01.14.10)
they don't protest anti-Semitism and virulent anti-Israeli propaganda in their country, why should Israel apologize?
53. Ayalon recognise he's not professional?
Go home, Ayalon ,   Israeli   (01.14.10)
Must be fired. Now. His apology is ridiculous as his work quality.
54. To 15 - do you think that what you did in Armenia is better?
Yossi ,   Haifa   (01.14.10)
Your country has murdered 1.5 million Armenian Christians in 1915 - how do you have the hypocrisy to criticize us for defending our citizens that were attacked by thousand of Kasams for 8 years? If you think this is alliance then we will start talking about what you did and still do - Armenia, the Kurds, Cyprus and much more.
55. #44 - Yunan, now the difference between theory and reality?
Yaniv ,   Israel   (01.14.10)
If I had been alive when this happened, I would've been 1400 yrs old, duh. My source is Islamic scripture called Hadiths. Yes, Muslim scholars are extremely proud of this event. I'd be happy to furnish upon your request the exact quote, should you want more than just a superficial understanding of Islam. These 900 Jewish boys and men who were personally executed one by one by Muhammad himself (not his men) were given a chance to go free if they would just renounce their Jewish faith and convert to Islam. None of the 900 Jews accepted the offer. Countless individuals of the people of the book (Jews and Christians) were throughout history subject to forced conversions, the frequency depending on the region and a particular Muslim ruler. Freedom to worship? Only if it was done quietly and not in public. A Muslim converting to Christianity or Judaism was strictly (and still is) punishable by death. Jeeza was the least that was forced on the dhimmis, they could not ride horses, had to live in designated areas, wear special clothing that identified them as Jews/Christians, could not build their places of worship higher than the smallest mosque, not to mention the yellow badge that the nazis forced on the jews was invented centuries earlier in Baghdad. Jews and Christians were always 2nd class citizens and never experienced equality. Please submit the sources for what you call facts. Let's examine them together and not let pretentious comments about being educated and calling me an idiot pass as an argument for being right. If I'm an idiot, then you should not marginally, but rather brutally defeat me in this topic. If not, then what does that say about you? :)
56. #15 Turkish occupation of Kurdistan unacceptable
Elly ,   Vienna, Austria   (01.14.10)
#!5: Turkish occupation of Kurdistan and persecution of 20 million Kurds is unacceptable.
57. There is no problems with Turkish people or
Arthur ,   SF, CA   (01.14.10)
their president. There is a big problem with the Ghetto Jewish mentality of Peres, Ayalon and countless dozens of Israeli officials. Lemmings.. They are ready to commit suicide for the world to love them. How sad.
58. Turkish oppression of Kurds and its crimes against humanity
Slava ,   San Francisco, usa   (01.14.10)
Turkey must join the 21st century and end their barbaric and murderous ways. End the occupation of Kurdistan!
59. The PROBLEM is ERDOGAN!
Gabriel ,   Budapest, Macaristan   (01.14.10)
Turkish nationalist leader Erdogan has been continuously attacking Israel, using unacceptable style for a long time. Turkey is isolating himself from Europe, becoming an islamist state and they are wondering why the EU doesn't want Turkey to become a member state. Nobody needs a second Iran in Europe. Erdogan and his islamist government should resign. Ayalon did not behave in a diplomatic way but Israel was right in giving a lesson to the Erdogan government (and not the Turkish People!). This is a big difference! The apology was meant for the Turkish People and not for Erdogan, so it's OK.
60. Israel shouldn't have apologised
Mehmet ,   Istanbul   (01.14.10)
Whoever urged Ayalon to apologise made mistake. İt is obvious that noone has right to humiliate Israel. We want to believe that İsrael is not Turkey's enemy and, Turkish government tells and convinces us why they treat friends like an enemy.
