... I'LL LET YOU FINISH THE SENTENCE.
33. To quote Dan Cock

IT IS ON!
34. Rich: Israel has not, will not, ask for US escorts
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (06.06.10)
Rich in Boston says "And the US ready to escort Israeli ships." No it isn't, nor would anyone expect Obama's US to do so. Then again, Israel hasn't asked for US protection. Israel does expect that the leader of the free world act in common with allies against a common enemy (which Obama can't seem to do). At the least, one might expect the US not to work against Israel, as it does when it sides with Israel's enemies.
35. if the offer is accepted humanitarians would spark a war
zionist forever   (06.06.10)
Iran isn't going to be sending any large fleets of warships all the way to Gaza and so any ships they do send will be easy pickings. If they send troops aboard the ships if it comes to a shooting match Israel has more firepower and by inviting soldiers aboard as an escort it would become officially a military operation. Rather than sending soldiers Israel may just order everybody to abandon ship and sink the thing. If Iran does send as escort though no matter how it turns out its going to put the pressure on Obama to deal with the Iranian nuclear facilities. If they will send gun boats or soldiers for something like this what if it did come to a full scale war can we be sure Iran won't use nukes and its obvious sanctions are going nowhere. Within a week without putting a single soldier on the ground the US could wipe out Irans nuclear & chemical warfare facilities, sink their navel fleet in port, destroy their airforces & missile silos. Thats going to leave Iran in a similar position to Iraq after the Gulf War when Saddam Hussains army was left smashed. Its going to be a decade at least before Iran can rebuild their conventional armed forces so nuclear weapons will be the last thing on their mind or bullying any of their neighbors which the arab Gulf states are terrified of. If we get lucky Syria will decide to join the fun and their military is so weak that they will be finished off very quickly and it will prove to the leftists that we can't risk giving up the Golan for a few promises from a war mongering mafia thug. Come on Ahmadinejad send your boys lets see what they are made of I dare you to send a military escort. Or is it just an empty threat?
36. Tehran
bob ,   bel Air,ni@comcas MD   (06.06.10)
Tehran "says" the ships are for aid but I see they want Israel destroyed, so I do not believe one thing to be the truth
37. #9 I've been saying all along that they have it,no one takes
Peter ,   Vienna-Austria   (06.06.10)
Heed though. There is quite a lot of reason to believe that they already have a nuclear arsenal(undeclared). You don't need to see it or have the iranians shout it to the world. Their acts are fully acknowledging the fact that they have nukes. Other wise you tell me,how can a state commit so many acts of war, provocations and etc.and simply get away with it?? Isn't it obvious by now?? And by the way,now a days you don't need to test a nuclear weapon to see if it works or not. Technically speaking there are other options. Like having your ally do it for you,or here's the interesting part: Have a super computer do the thing for you(I have read articles about this one on various websites). And considering all the European and American goods ending up in iran via dubai, its really not that hard for them to obtain what they need. Keep in mind: Money speaks.
38. #27 pipe dreamer the RG have the fastest torpedos
tea man ,   marjayoun   (06.06.10)
on earth only russia has its equivelant so how your navy can fair agaist it when even the american fear the RG
39. #34 Raymondo...think again...
Rich in Boston ,   Boston USA   (06.06.10)
Any attempt to escalate the situation by Iran imposing its revolutionary guards against a lawful Israeli blockade will have the immediate backing of US military. The US for its own selfish reason (Israel aside) cannot and will not let the Iranians impose direct military will on gaza. Never. The Iranians know this and will NEVER make this move. Lets just watch as see....
40. #32 The correct word is "casus belli".
Janice Cohen ,   ירושלים   (06.06.10)

41. we want to know
sam ,   colorado   (06.06.10)
U.S. support for Israel will not last long because the priorities for any country that is looking for their interests Israel was at the past the guard for American interests and advanced military base in the region after the failures and repeated defeats especially after the attack on a convoy of activists the fast resolution and non-deliberate By the reckless Israeli leadership's That led to the deaths of nine Turks which had been condemned by most countries of the world that put Israel and America in the position of very embarrassing in front of the international public opinion Because America along the line is always biased towards Israel therefore, Israel has become a heavy burden on America America will not always stand with Israel after toughen its stance toward the peace process with the Palestinians and Syria, which led to a rising tide of hostility with the Arabs and Muslims around the world and the today Turkey's change stance against Israel and tomorrow Iran we want to know where the Israel going?
42. Mark Twain
Mark Twain ,   USA   (06.06.10)
"The Egyptian, the Babylonian, and the Persian rose, filled the planet with sound and splendor, then faded to dream-stuff and passed away; the Greek and the Roman followed; and made a vast noise, and they are gone; other people have sprung up and held their torch high for a time, but it burned out, and they sit in twilight now, or have vanished. The Jew saw them all, beat them all, and is now what he always was, exhibiting no decadence, no infirmities of age, no weakening of his parts, no slowing of his energies, no dulling of his alert and aggressive mind. All things are mortal but the Jew; all other forces pass, but he remains. What is the secret of his immortality?" -Mark Twain

46. :: Empty words, like the 70,000 martyrs
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (06.06.10)
Iranian Islamist entity promised 70,000 martyrs to be sent to Jerusalem. They started training several years ago with a big fanfare for a week and nothing has been heard about it ever since. Prior to that they promised to train 10,000 women suicide bombers for the same purpose and with the same no result. This time it will be no different.

54. this proves that....
Ana Maria ,   South America   (06.06.10)
1. The so called "humanitarian" groups incite violence and are plagued by terrorist (e.g. European NGO's supporting the FARC in Colombia) 2. This actions will only bring negative effects to the Palestinians (the restriction of goods necessarily has to increase to make sure that weapons are not passed to the Hamas) 3. Iran needs more sanctions (the regimen of death is dying its about time to precipitate their fall to hell) 4. Turks should be condemn for the Armenian genocide, the violation of human rights to Kurds and the support to terrorist in Gaza)

Gil ,   Tiberias Israel   (06.06.10)
Any intervention by the Iranian military is an act of war, and Israel knows what to do.
59. #37 Perhaps in another 37 years
Cynthia ,   USA   (06.06.10)
Since you know soooo much. Can't help wonder if Iran funded this Turkish terror attack and how many Iranians were on the ship. Also, I don't recall Iran ever sending humanitarian aid to the Palestinians or helping rebuild Gaza. Even after Lebanon was leveled in 2006, Iran only gave money to Hezbollah to rebuild Hezbollah strongholds. When will we see Iran make a serious humanitarian contribution to the Palestinians? If Iran wants to rule the Arab/Muslim world, they should open their checkbooks and show how generous they are.
60. Hussein B. Obama
Jeff ,   Brussels   (06.06.10)
Hussein B. Obama 's foreign policies disaster and fundamental mistakes of weakness are showing more and more in the behaviour of fundamentalist islamic countries and their leaders. Hussein did get a peace Nobel prize but so did the inventor of terror against innocent people. No matter what, the US now degraded to a weak paper tiger , I have full confidence in the capabilities of the people of Israel.
