Yours is a textbook non sequitur. If Israel closes its airspace to Turkish interests, or its ports to Turkish-flagged vessels, will that cause Turks to have some empathy for the Kurdish people?

Lebalunatic, Muslims kill their Muslim brothers with regularity. They don't need anyone's help in this Islamic bloodsport.
63. Turks hold Israel in their hand
American ,   Los Angeles   (06.28.10)
If Armenian Genocide was recognized the turks wouldn't be so brave to blame Israel. Now Israel depend on turkish islamists, supporters of the iranian jihadists.
64. #4 - Funny you support Muslim illogical thought
William ,   Israel   (06.28.10)
Like smacking a dog and crying when the dog reacts that you want it killed for its violent behavior. Turkey launched the flotilla, supported it financially and morally, supported its violent anti-Israel message, and gets upset when they are pushed back. Typical Muslim thinking.
65. #10 - Long live Palestine?
William ,   Israel   (06.28.10)
It's never "lived" in history and doesn't now. How can something non-existent have a "long life"?
66. #17 - only after NATO is done using Turkish soil
William ,   Israel   (06.28.10)
against Iraq and possibly Iran. After that, they can throw them out.
67. #32 - All Erdogan has to do is....
William ,   Israel   (06.28.10)
1) Apologize for sending a ship full of armed, violent "shahids" against Israel's legal war-time blockade 2) Apologize profusely to the 9 families who's own "shahids" were killed on the senseless flotilla (the way Nasrallah apologized for the 2006 war). 3) Apologize to Cyprus for the 36 years of brutal occupation of their country 4) Compensate Israel and the IDF for those injured and the massive costs in having to stop the flotilla, process the "Shahids" and transportation back to Turkey. Once Turkey admits its obvious mis-steps in recent history, it can enjoy full ties with the Jewish State once again (as demanded by the Turkish military and many Turk citizens), and the friendship of other Western nations.
68. #43 - how is Turkey's brutality Europe's fault?
William ,   Israel   (06.28.10)
As I always say, the minute a Leftist doesn't get his way, they pull out the "race" card. "European racial acts against turkey by banning it form joining the EU union." Sorry. Race had NOTHING to do with it. Turkey's own racist, brutal acts and their illegal 36 year occupation of Cyprus was the reason they lost the bid for EU membership. Not to mention that their prisons are notorious for brutality and they were asked to clean it up for 10 years. They did nothing. Time for a little introspection....Muslim!

Your argument is spurious on so many levels. Have you any clue how many people were executed by the Chinese government in 2009? More than the Iranians executed, and that is saying something. Israel acted against terrorists. If you have a problem with that, too bad. I have a problem with China executing children in flimsy cases. Allow me to correct your factual inaccuracy. This was not piracy. Israel maintains a fully-legal, internationally-recognized blockade against Gaza -- a jurisdiction which routinely engages in hostilities against the State of Israel. The vessel may have had Turkish nationals aboard, but the vessel was not flagged in Turkey and Turkey's sovereignty was not challenged in any way, because a nation's sovereignty does not extend to its nationals, particularly when said nationals engage in illegal activities. For example: were a Turkish national to commit a capital crime in China, and be executed as a result, would that have an effect on Turkey's sovereignty? Of course not. So why on earth would Turkey's sovereignty be in any way damaged because Israel thwarted the illegal actions of violent Turkish nationals? As to making "enemies" around the world -- do you think that the international community is oblivious to what is going on in Tibet? Or, for that matter, the ongoing persecution of Christians on the Chinese mainland? The pervasive violations of human rights and the most rudimentary civil rights of the Chinese people by its government and kangaroo courts? Are you not aware that China is considered to have the second worst record on human rights of any country in the world, surpassed only by Iran? Living in such a glass house, don't you think you should refrain from throwing stones?
71. :: Sarah BS - #60 - LOL!
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (06.28.10)
“Fact” you say? As usual Sarah BS is trying to present her vivid imagination as ‘fact’, the truth of the matter is that Turkey will not be “quite shortly be booted out of NATO”. Turkey, unlike Israel, is a full-fledged member of NATO and is considered a vital member due to its prime location in the eastern region. Nobody will be kicking Turkey out of NATO over little old Israel, in the end Israel will apologize to Turkey and pay compensation to the families of the 9 civilians it needlessly killed. As I have said before Israel has far more to lose by refusing to apologize to Turkey, Turkey can quite easily ditch Israel and never look back, after all Turkey has friends and allies it can rely on while Israel has only Obama who is keeping Israel on a very tight lease.
72. WTF??
Malone ,   Hfx   (06.28.10)
Why on earth do posters here respond to the hater Matty Groves?? Ignore him and he will eventually go away..
73. Sarah B #70 - Sergi is not Chinese
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (06.28.10)
She is a Turk pretending to be Chinese. My wife is Chinese and I know a lot about China. Turks are not much welcome in China. In fact recently China stopped issuing tourist visas to Turkish nationals. They are concerned that some Turks (IHH and AKP members or sympathizers) might infiltrate Xinjian province to agitate the fragile peace in there.

78. Israel has nothing to say sorry for
Anon ,   Johannesburg   (06.29.10)
They did a great job stoping a few terrorists. the other ships, with peacefull people were stoped in the correct way. Terrorists are just that... and your verbal support for them... is just that
79. david israel #57
sergi ,   china   (06.29.10)
You didn't say how many people IDF kill in search for terrorist.... Citizen is citizen no matter under what flag is any ship sailing...right? And raid in International waters is without deep digging piracy act...right? And killing unarmed people with automatic weapons in such a raid is murder...right? This is at least International Law and I'm not sure what CWC has to do with it......
80. Sergi #79
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (06.29.10)
Fighting terrorists such as Hamas, Al kaida and PKK is a very difficult job. They deliberately target and kill civilians. Hamas killed little children such as Dorit Benisian and Yuval Abebeh. Terrorists hide behind civilians. Only yesterday in Turkey 2 civilians picking up herbs in the village of Hassa were killed by the Turkish military by mistake. In China many civilians were killed during the Uighur uprising in Xinjian. In the fight with Al Kaida many civilians are killed also in Afghanistan and Pakistan. You see how difficult it is to fight this kind of a terrorist group. If you study the international laws, teh Helsinki declarations on maritime laws, teh Geneva and San Remo conventions you will see that Israel had all the legal right to stop that ship which she had warned before it took anchor from Turkey, in International waters. A few years ago A North Korean ship also was intercepted in the international waters for suspicion. Teh passengers on the Mavi Marmara were armed. They smuggled in disk cutters and vandalized the ship by cutting the deck to make spears to attack the IDF. So Sergi you are wrong on all counts. Saichien.
