1. As long as Norway
Anon ,   Johannesburg   (10.01.10)
As long as Norway continues its anti Semitic support to Islamic fundamentalism, all they will be good for in this world is their seafood exports and second hand clothing sales… Wait… that is all they good for
2. Norwegians show they no longer are an honest broker
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (10.01.10)
There is no other conclusion we can draw, other than that Norway supports Palestinian missile attacks against Israeli civilians. The Norwegians have bent over backwards to take steps against Israel, yet have done nothing to stop the war crimes coming from Hamas controlled Gaza. Yes, war crimes, as determined by Goldstone himself who was very clear: the Palestinians are committing war crimes by shooting rockets at Israeli civilians. The war crimes continue. So does Norwegian acceptance of those crimes. Shame on Norway. Why should we think that they are an honest broker in peace talks? This anti-Israel move is just more proof of the duplicity and failure of the Oslo process, of which Norway was a key player.
3. Quislings
Nachman ,   Maale Adumim   (10.01.10)
Once again the Norwegians wish to leave the Jews to their fate. Submarines to protect Israel are now banned because we are blockading a terrorist enclave to prevent rockets being fired on our citizens shame on the Norwegians who are reverting to type - it's time we banned all Norwegian goods from being imported into Israel until they regain their moral compass - that is if they ever had one.
4. Norway is disgusting
Norwegian Citizen ,   Oslo, Norway   (10.01.10)
Norway is disgusting in so many ways: The Arbeiderpartiet (labours party) helped the nazis before and during the war to kill and register jews. After the war, the criminals that helped the nazis, did a few months in prison before Arbeiderpartiet released them and gave them jobs in the administration. Arbeiderpartiet has run Norway for long periods after the war, and opened the country for muslim immigration in "Proposition #74" (Stortingsmelding #74 1979/1980) During the demonstrations against the last Gaza war, muslim teenagers rioted; beated up an 80-year old jew, destroyed big parts of Oslo city Centre and went "jew-hunting" in the streets. The reactions from the courtsystem? Nothing. No punishment at all. "They were just frustrated because of Israel". In other words: Israel was blamed. In another episode a muslim imigrant shot at the synagogue with an automatic rifle (AG3): He was on trial for terrorism, but the courtsystem said that this was just a young boys behaviour, so he got away with it. Norwegian salmon comes from fishfarming, and the salmon is overfed on anti-biotics. The fish industry is destroying the environment, and norwegian company (cermac) uses 5.000 times more antibiotics in their fish farms in Chile. Norway would probably feed the salmon anti-semitism too if it was possible...
5. Norway = Cold, boring, non-place with crap food
tomer ,   herzeliyya   (10.01.10)
They go crazy there becuase half the year it is only day and the rest is only night. Maybe it is good if you are a pine tree
6. #2 (on missile attacks)
Norwegian Citizen ,   Oslo, Norway   (10.01.10)
Many norwegians even defend the palestinian missile attacks on Israel. They claim that it is selfdefense, and they excuse the attacks because of the size of the missiles. A typical arguments goes something like this: "Those little rockets? They don't do any harm, and they don't even hit any targets".
7. they are soooo neutral its killing us...
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (10.01.10)
The Chasidim call this a tzadik b'peltz, a righgeous man who when he is cold instead of heat up a room so that other can benefit, he wears a warm fur coat. These people don't care if we burn, but they can call themselves neutral... Schmucks....
8. Yest another example of Norways bias and twisted logic
Tim ,   Brighton   (10.01.10)
No mention of Hamas rocket attacks and charter Just a blanket condemnation of Israel s need to protect itself and support of Hamas in Gaza Quite hollow and quite pathetic
9. Where is Norway ?
olim hadashim ,   tel aviv/israel   (10.01.10)
10. Norway and 'peace'
Frank ,   Canada   (10.01.10)
Norway is posturing as a country in favor of world peace but in facts, they support Arab terror.
11. NORWAY-LOL
NORWAY SUCKS   (10.01.10)
"I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you.”
12. Norway
Bernard Manning ,   London, England   (10.01.10)
Norway shows the courage and conviction that the rest of the world lacks. All security trade with Israel should be stopped, all Israeli products should be boycotted, all aid ti this vicious and terrorist regime should be halted until Israel returns to its 1967 borders. End the occupation of Gaza and the Westband, dismantle the settlements, and start behaving like a civilised nation instaed of a bunch of self centered idiots.
13. #2 collective punishment is disproportionate to war crime
observer   (10.01.10)
after the Israeli Cast Lead, the thousands rockets story does not hold convincing for Europeans. The Israeli air and ground attacks destroyed 5,000 homes; put 200 factories out of operation, including the only flour factory in the country; systematically destroyed egg-producing chicken farms; and bombed sewage and water systems. "If that isn't collective punishment, what is?" Goldstone asked.
14. Norway just being usual antisemites they know how to be
David P. ,   Capitola, CA   (10.01.10)
like the rest of europe
15. And today Sweden raised terror threat alert
michael redbourn ,   Arad Israel   (10.01.10)
Norway is being taken over by Islam and stupidly thinks that appeasement will save it. Norway should perhaps note that Sweden is expecting more terror alerts and Belgium is going to ban the Burqua.
16. Norway shnorway
Yehudi ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (10.01.10)
Here is an idea - send all the Palestinian Arabs to live in Norway.
17. #12- Ah, you obviously know nothing about the conflict!
michael redbourn ,   Arad Israel   (10.01.10)
You have obviously been on a strict diet of BBC and the Guardian for too long; with perhaps a little Independent perhaps sprinkled on for taste ;-) (Although even the BBC found Israel's flotilla reaction acceptable) Posting biased nonsense simply makes you look a little foolish so it would obviously be better to get au fait with the facts before posting. The good news is that your constipation can be cured and would simply involve a more varied and less biased media. Get well soon! And maybe visit Norway soon before it becomes totally Islamicized. Parts of Oslo already have by the way.
18. :: Good for Norway
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (10.01.10)
Ynuts here can spout the same old tired bigotry but it will not change the fact that Norway (like so many other countries) will no longer support Israel because of its violent and oppressive policies towards the Palestinians. The solution is simple - accept the Two State solution, make peace with the Palestinians. Until this happens nation after nation will turn their backs on Israel.
19. number 13
Shlomo ,   Jerusalem   (10.01.10)
its not Israel's problem where they hide there weapons, from bomb shelters to factories, to even places of worship. Israel Defence Forces have one duty, and one only, to defend the people of Israel. Thus unfortunatly, the IDF had to attack places where your hammas hero's were hiding the weapons. the effects on the ground is very diffrent than what you see on very biased TV in the west
20. NORWAY's ancient gods...
Morris of the EU ,   London   (10.01.10)
Norway’s latest hostile move should not come as a surprise: Norway is just being coherent. A small country populated by less than 5 million people, it has enjoyed an extraordinary economic boom in the 70’s when oil was discovered. Despite enjoying breathtaking landscapes, it is a God-forgotten bleak and depressing place with one of the highest suicide rates in the world. Despite the glamorisation of a limited resistance movement through “The Heroes of Telemark”, it did accommodate itself rather nicely with the Nazi mild occupation of their Nordic brothers. Despite its bleeding-heart and self-satisfied political positions, it sports a ruthless whale-killing fleet that flouts all bans. Despite its Baptist affiliation, it pines for its ancient and dark Pagan gods. Norwegians should be in no doubt that the Jews all over view them for what they are: hostile, and that they will retaliate where it hurts them most: their pockets. So when the oil runs out, Norway will be like all other OPEC countries. And whale killing won’t even be an option…
21. #4, Norwegian citizen, Thank you for
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (10.01.10)
speaking out against the slimehole you live in....!!!!!!
22. There is a pattern...
Nahum Korda ,   Ein Ziwan, Israel   (10.01.10)
Wasn't Norway the only European country that did not walk out during Ahmadinajad's Anti-Semitic speech in the UN?
23. Matty Groves misses reality again
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (10.01.10)
Groves wants us to accept the 2 state solution and make peace. Funny, but that's exactly what we're doing, or did Matty Groves miss the fact that Israel imposed a freeze 10 months ago and the Palestinians refused to come to the negotiating table until the very end? And, of course, the Palestinians responded to the renewal of talks by murdering four Israeli civilians. Groves thinks they were'nt innocent, and maybe even deserved to be targeted for assassination by the Palestinians. Fortunately, all major human rights organizations and even Goldstone said that Palestinians do NOT have the right to shoot and kill settlers. It's called a war crime. Until the Palestinians stop carrying out their war crimes and start negotiating in good faith, Israelis will turn their backs on the Palestinians. And our international trade has never been better, thank you, Mr Groves. Despite your wishful thinking, nation after nation are wondering why the Palestinians are still so corrupt and inept at running their own affairs. Maybe that's why they're ignoring the boycott of Rami Levi here in Judea. The place was packed yesterday and today (I just got back from shopping) with Jews and Arabs shopping and working side-by-side in a model of co-existence. My offer for pizza and beer still stands. The Palestinians aren't boycotting, so why are you?
24. #12 Tut Tut Bernard
Tim ,   Brighton   (10.01.10)
Whilst there are rights and wrongs on BOTH sides I notice your sense of the history of this conflict is completely lop sided and conveniently stops at 1967. It conveniently neglects the threats to Israels survival that brought on the war of 67 in the first place, the issue of the Palestinian Charter, the issues of almost 2m Jewish refugees expelled from Arab lands post 45, the continuning Hamas and other existential threats to its existence... That said it underlines even more the need for a settlement and for people on both sides of the divide to urge and support the process
25. #18 - the PA doensn't want a two State solution!
michael redbourn ,   Arad Israel   (10.01.10)
It's beyond me why people like you post without having a grasp of the facts. The PA would accept two states tomorrow, but not "two states for two peoples", and they refused to say the words just two days ago. Israel would accept, "Two states for two peoples" but it's not on the table. Why is that? Well you obviously don't know or you wouldn't have posted what you did. Why can't Abu Mazen say the words "Two states for two peoples"? Because his intention is one state for Palestinians and another state in which Jews would be a minority after accepting several million (700,000 left) displaced Arabs. The Arabs that were displaced should obviously return to a new Palestinian state but the PA (nor Hamas) agree to that. I hope you now understand better and will not spread disinformation. Just a word like "peoples" can change the whole game plan. Michael
26. #22 - eleven countries walked out
michael redbourn ,   Arad Israel   (10.01.10)
The eleven, according to a European source: Argentina, Australia, Britain, Costa Rica, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, New Zealand and the United States.
27. :: Michael - #17
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (10.01.10)
And what media would that be? Can you name any of these less biased media outlets? I think you can’t.
28. :: Norwegian - #4
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (10.01.10)
Well this is novel; you don’t see many ‘self-hating Norwegians’. Quite humorous really!
29. Other alternatives
CHRIS ,   CYPRUS   (10.01.10)
Why are you bothering with all those Scandinavian hypocrites? Just test the Subs in Greece is much better and more realistic conditions for Israel. You can use the shipyards in Piraeus were the same subs are built and maintained for the Greek navy.
30. boycott all norweigan products. thats what i will do and att
ralph   (10.01.10)
