1. What an extraordinary piece!
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.07.10)
Kudos to you, Mr. Rath!
2. You mean 2,000 years; not 1,000
Sami ,   New York, USA   (10.07.10)
Pretty ignorant. Jews lived in Europe since 2,000 years, not 1,000.
3. Applauding! Applauding! Applauding!
(10.07.10)
well written and to the point.
4. You have no right!
dan Guralnek ,   brisbane australia   (10.07.10)
I am likewise irritated by europes behaviour and certain that it will come back to bite them. On the other hand, I also very irritated by the format of this article. Avi Rath, who gave you the right to speak for Israel. Just remember, you are not elected. You are just some guy who was given a job by some other guy trying to sell advertising media. Dear editor, the choice of format reflects on the publication.
5. LET EUROPE SINK
LAWRENCE RAP ARTISTE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (10.07.10)
Could not happen to a nicer bunch....measure for measure.
6. # 2 - Jews lived in Europe since 2,000 years, not 1,000.
split ,   USA   (10.07.10)
He's is talking about Khasars from Volga plains not the real Hebrews.
7. europe.prepare for flood...
hansisra ,   amsterdam N.L   (10.07.10)
..seldom read an article SO sharp, precise and to the point, lately.. have posted& shared a lot .. But this 1 = a pricewinner among the articles,.."kol hakavod" unfortunately it's a sinister reality, do we get the chance to build another 'Noah's ark'....???
8. Bravo! To our friends in Europe I ask that you stay strong,
Coming Home ,   To roost, Europe   (10.07.10)
and do what you need to to live in peace and security and a future you can be proud of. To the Jew haters past present and future, the truths in this article are especially for you.
9. Europe as a whole or just Germany?
Deborah Aviv ,   Toronto   (10.07.10)
What total garbage. Does the editor lie around typing this on a mac thinking they are Sarah JP from sex and the city. It's quite easy to get talkback credit from right wing loony Americans, but is there anything new in this article apart from anti european propaganda ro warm the heart of the average racist American, who is there leader? Oh that's right hussain muslim obama, what's being built on the graves of 3000 Americans? Oh thats right? A mega mosque...
10. Yawn! ..... More BS From The Israeli Kooks
World Citizen ,   the world   (10.07.10)
Every week we most read some dour warning from the Israeli right about how the Arabs are taking over Europe. I tell you the truth. It's nothing but sour grapes. Israel has lost most of its standing in the minds of the Europeans not because there are Arabs there but because of the way Israel acts. Clean up your act if you want the respect of the Europeans.
11. Happy are those, who know no
(10.07.10)
fear!
12. great article
martine ,   ashdod   (10.07.10)
You wrote your article like a letter, that means that you're giving your opinion, that's to answer that man who asked "who gave you the right...". You just said the truth, what our people endure from Europe. But I have to tell you that most of the people living there realize how deeply corrupted their countries are. They say that they always lived with muslim, nothing has changed. They have their eyes obscured by a blindfold and they're not ready to take it off. Too afraid to see how wrong they were. Even Jews who live in Europe think the same way. Thank you for that article, I hope that lots of people will read it and open their eyes!
13. Point?
John   (10.07.10)
Ok, so Europe was bad to the Jews and now, after major wars and atrocities on the continent, Europe has suddenly become liberal to the point of insanity.I agree. And now, they are supposedly reaping the fruits of that liberalness. While I agree (as its hard not to) my question is, "so what?" Aside from trying to "stick it in Europe's face", what's the point of the article? There's nothing educational in here. It's a melodramatic and nauseatingly polemic piece that is borderline arrogant and ignorant. Arrogant for obvious reasons and ignorant because, first of all the article is very racist and generalizes about all Muslims and second, despite the lovely Leon Uris novels that we've all read, us Jews and Arab-Muslims have committed their own atrocities throughout the past 100 years. True, no where near the European scale of human atrocities but atrocities nonetheless. So, the author managed to write not only a pointless article, but a pointless article that wreaks of racism and ignorance.
14. Same thing will happen to israel, just a matter of time!
christianpalestinian ,   las vegas, nevada   (10.07.10)
Israel will revert back to the Palestinian Arab people eventually too. It is just a matter of time and you all know it. Palestine belongs to the palestinian people, not to unwanted european refugees. Europe will of course pay a big price for their many crimes against the arabs, but israel will pay the price too. This conflict is not a religios conflict, but purely a political conflict having to do with justice! Arabs will be on top of the world once again!
15. Worthy of Der Sturmer
Paul ,   London   (10.07.10)
"Suddenly you are discovering women wearing veils, zealous eyes, and mosques at every corner. Suddenly you need to contend with high birthrates, a culture with radical characteristics which you cultivated..." Pure, shameful, racist hate propaganda. No wonder that the author dismisses voices that criticise racism or defend human rights as "the usual babble". And no wonder he doesn't include a link to any of the rubbish research he cites on population trends. The most "alarmist" projections are 25% Muslim population by 2100 in Europe but other studies show declining birth rates among Muslim immigrants as they become integrated and richer, a phenomenon common for all immigrant classes.
16. Leon Uris
Dan Guralnek ,   Brisbane Australia   (10.07.10)
I watched exodus the other day and was compelled to get the haj from the library. I am half way through. Many will fault the political statement made by the book but there is no denying that its a stunning, exciting, read. It unfortunately provides the best, most plausible explanation I have heard so far of why they do what they do, and why authentic peace with Israels neighbours has remained out of reach. The Haj great book. Well done Leon R.I.P. Check out the article about the Israeli agent looking for gilad shalit. It really is only the hamas side of the story. How would leon interperate that? I guess we'll never know.
17. To: No. 9
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.07.10)
Europe as a whole; here's why: 1. Blood libel was born in the city of York in the U.K. Google Hugh of Lincoln. 2. Blood libel quickly spread throughout Europe. 3. The Jews were expelled from England. 4. The Jews were expelled from France. 5. The Jews were slaughtered in the tens of thousands during the (four) Crusades. 6. The Jews were banned from certain principalities in Germany. 7. The Jews were subjected to the Spanish Inquisition, and were eventually expelled from the Iberian Peninsula. 8. The Jews were subject to horrendous blood libel charges and pogroms in Eastern Europe. 9. Concentration camps which carried out the mass slaughter of Jews existed in EVERY EUROPEAN COUNTRY CONTROLLED BY THE NAZIS. So yes, dear, Europe as a whole. Not just Germany. Take a history course or two, and find out for yourself.
18. To: Lawrence at No. 5

Just once, dear, it would be quite nice for you to compose your post in Rap. I'd really like to see you strut your stuff.
19. Smug but typically dumb...
Diaspora Israeli ,   Raanana, Israel   (10.07.10)
How typically naive, blinkered and small minded of an Israeli Jew to think we can sit smugly back and spectate on Europe's fate. If Europe is suffocated by radical Muslim hordes I can't imagine the Middle East will particularly pleasant!
20. #13. Here's the point
A ,   Belgium   (10.07.10)
I've lived in Belgium for the last 9 years. There are neighborhoods in Brussels, the capital city, that the average Belgian is frightened to walk around. Riders and operators of the trams and buses in Antwerp are frequently harrassed, insulted and even physically assaulted by moslem youths. I could go on and on, send you news clippings EVERY DAY if you want. And this is only Belgium. We all have heard about problems between moslems and locals in other European countries, ie. England and France. Europe has pushed this problem aside for so long that, as the author states, it is literally unstopable. I wouldn't go so far as saying Europe will one day become moslem...I HOPE not...but the signs of a serious conflict are appearing. And while Europe, with few exceptions, stood by and did nothing while its Jewish population was being exterminated, now it is indeed Europe itself that has allowed itself to erode away. Take that point seriously, there is nothing "borderline arrogant and ignorant" about this article. Sadly, its actually quite true.
21. To Deborah Aviv Toronto
John   (10.07.10)
Hey, easy on the anti-American rant. When you word things the way you did, its just as "looney" as the ones you are lashing out at.
22. What would happen if Rick Sanchez , wrote this .. in Ynet?

24. you are right...
Anna M Sedda ,   Italy-Rome   (10.07.10)
..and few Europeans are making an Ark to save Europe from "muslemisation"....it's an hard work ,you know,... and while the Jews where expelled, not all Europeans agree to it...has not all Europeans will surrender to Islam .But you are very right...It's just a sign of the Times....The End
25. Since my email was censored (why?) there it is again
m   (10.07.10)
I agree with the writer 100%. I would like to add that not only for 2000 years Europe persecuted and killed the Jews, they also profitted from by taking away from them during those years all their possessions. It was all for greed and jealusy also. What Germany did is not only to take away the Jewish riches but to use them as one uses animals, from gold teeth to skin and hair, to body as fertilizer. So please all of you Israelis writing here and pretending to be aghast, read your history, you are liable to repeat it.
26. avi: great article this is what I've been
aaron ,   mexico   (10.07.10)
saying from some time to friends and relatives. The Creator has a system of retribution. Europe "had" to have some Semites in their land. They ill treated the Jews now here you have their cousins(Ishmael's children) so enjoy the party!!
27. to no. 20
John   (10.07.10)
I get where you are coming from - I've lived in a heavily populated European city before. I also know what its like to live in Israel and not be able to go to certain areas of our own country out of fear. Nonetheless, the author tried to make some point but only came across as racist, ignorant and generalized about all Muslims - much like Europeans used to do to Jews. So, I stand by my question: what's the point? His prognostications are likely faulty; his stats are over the top; and his opinion is arrogant and smug. He was just in a "blame it on Europe" mood
28. #22 who is Rick Sanchez?
just asking   (10.07.10)
29. #23 thanks for travel advice.i dont hang out @train stations
Deborah Aviv ,   Toronto   (10.07.10)
what international train station (yes it is the international station) in a city of 15 million people thats used by 1 million passengers every day is a place to hang out?? what internet cafe in these giant train stations are a true representation of a city? this is all you remember of paris? thats like telling me to go hang out in the bus station in the red light districts of amsterdam and see what i think.. what a pointless reply to my message..
30. Weilder of Holland gets it, but liberal Europe doesn't
Stewart ,   U.S.A.   (10.07.10)
There is nothing racist about wanting to preserve ones culture, and there is nothing racist about speaking out against a murderous religion. However, Europe is so worried about their own political correctness that they have abandoned freedom of speech for their own citizens. This is Europe's current sin. Ever notice how the Muslims don't dare try their stuff in China. The Chinese would ethnically cleanse all of far Western China if they had to. Maybe the Chinese understand the problem all to well.
