Second, many of the far right, racists and violent settlers are made up of Mizrahi Jews. Third, what does it matter? pointing falsly at the ethnic composition of any group is an easy scapegoating mechanism to try to explain the situation and decide (falsely) who is right, who is wrong and who is to blame. Complex situations do not necessarily have black and white causes or answers.

We Sephardim are mostly Arabs/Berbers. I don't say that there is no racists among Sephardim, but this is not that deep, it's a natural animosity between brothers, as related by the Torah: the metaphor Ishmael/Izchak. We Sephardim are used to live with Arabs, make business with them, marry their daughters, dress all alike, eating the same food... It makes a big difference. For Ashkenazim it is another planet, especially for the ones coming directly from New-York. Go and read the books about Jews in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon etc... Compare a sephardi marriage and an arab marriage with an ashkenazi marriage. Our culture is mixed more than you believe. Teaching Ashkenazim coming from Middle Europe, heavy influenced by christianity, mixed with european population, to accept Sephardim and Arabs is the same fight.
