You would be more convincing if you told us about all the sides of Cast Lead in a more neutral way. A partial description like this would not add much to the understanding of the the conflict; it would lack credibility just as something said by Hamas, IDF, the former Bush administration, or even by the relatively nice Mr Blair. To move on to your allegations against the Norwegian authorities, I must say that you totally lose your balance here. First of some newspapers publishing them in a society infected by unfavourable attitudes towards immigrants in common and Muslims in particular. Then some devote Muslims bringing the cartoons (and an added picture) to the ME, leading to more or much less senseless and violent (organized ?) demonstrations. Followed by more serious papers and others having to choose between avoiding every illustration of the prophet (even illustrations that previously did not irritate Muslims) or stand up for the freedom of speech (in a slightly racist, upsetting and dangerous way). Even one well meaning paper caused massive demonstrations from different Muslim groups, of which the majority openly chose to distance themselves from slightly extreme protesters, just by illustrating a really racist cartoon from the Internet. That the cartoon was shown to them by the later leader of the more extreme demonstration (who in the illustration could be seen in front of a PC screen showing the cartoon) and that the article was meant to expose growing Islamophobism, did not help the paper at all. But do not use this infornation against Muslims, who often seem kind and tolerant. Even many of these who cannot stand any illustrations of the prophet, seem to be mainly agreeable.
