Governents in Europe want as much trade as possible right now and they know if they make it difficult for Israeli companies to trade in Europe then Israel will make it difficult for European companies to trade in Israel which they cannot afford. You will get the traditionalists who love the arabs so much that they will either individually boycott either just settlement products or anything Israeli which some of the more hardline like to do. As far as they are concerned they do it anyway and the majority of them will never even hear about this UN vote. Most people want the right product at the right price and they don't care where its made. During a recession where people have to think about value for money more than they may have done during the good times then I think the issue of Israeli products is less of an issue today than it once was. I really don't think this will change anything for either the better or the worse.

Can't experimental settlements for Peace be built? Volunteer Jews and Palestinians thinking out of the box who wish to build real peace. Yes with schools, parks and hospitals. This experiment could be calibrated. Cost effective? Compared to the cost of fighter planes and tanks? Quality of life longterm? With time a "March on Jerusalem" could be intelligently organized. In 1945 Americans never dreamed of a March on Washington. It is hard to become efficient and "human". . . as bad habits become ingrained.
