#6- The way I understood your post, you are 100% correct; they see the brutality against their cousins in the WB and Gaza and the burgeoning system of apartheid. So for now, they would rather be treated as second class citizens in Israel than be among the occupied people in the WB and Gaza with no human or civil rights. #55- It was not palestinian from the beginning and will not be palestinian at the end. Arriving in the early 1900's, as most of them did due to a better economy (because of the Jews) does not make it palestinian. Many arabs moved to the WB after the 1948 war. That's only 62 years; not a millenium. Go find another place to live, as the Jews did, who were kicked out of arab countries after Israel was reborn.
62. #57 Gazan
solomon ,   bklyn   (04.02.11)
"Arabs prefer to live in Israel because they fear another Israeli expulsion." Do you realize this sentence doesn't make any sense at all? They stay because they are afraid of expulsion? Then leave, and they won't have to be afraid anymore...
63. The Truth Hurts, Doesn't It-Confirmed By Palestinian Poll!
Seth ,   Morris   (04.02.11)
64. Naturally, and jewish prefer life in USA, of course
Narah Correa ,   BRASIL   (04.02.11)
Both smart people.
65. to nr. 46
realist ,   world/planet earth   (04.02.11)
both jews and palestinians have the same rights on that piece of land, whether we like it or not. donot let us talk about war crimes. you talk about palestinian/arab war crimes. the zionists also committed/commit war crimes. saints only excist in fairy tales and in utopia and in dreams. let us stay realistic, also whether we talk about our own people(s)/countries. also see nr. 55.
66. #57 - and yet, its the "Palestinians" who gave the reasons
William ,   Israel   (04.02.11)
not Israelis. Nice try, Gazan. Now, try this on for size. 1) when was the first expulsion? That is, when were Arabs forced out of the area as opposed to just running away out of fear based on a rumor, without ever seeing a Jewish soldier. I believe Salma can answer that one. 2) You don't think non-citizens holding an Israeli ID card can equally be expelled if that were to happen? They are not citizens of Israel any more than the foreign workers. The only reason you have a crappy country is because YOU voted for the violent terrorists who rule you. Instead of a factory, they declared war on Israel. Instead of schools, they invested in missiles and bunkers. Personally, I believe "palestinians" should live with their poor choices instead of the world rescuing them from their demise, especially Israel.
67. #55 - except, none produce a deed, only rusty keys
William ,   Israel   (04.02.11)
I'm sure the Arabs are working hard on this one at the UN but last I checked, a rusty key and touching story about a grandfather's unhealthy love for his donkey did not equate to "ownership" of anything.
68. #58 - Israel's "2nd class" status is better than "1st class"
William ,   Israel   (04.02.11)
in Gaza, it seems. For all of the complaints Israeli Arabs have (mostly through Balad), the majority of them like Israel and prefer to be Israeli citizens. 2nd class citizens? Perhaps, but they enjoy equal benefits - school, housing, right to assemble, right to vote, unrestricted travel, serving in govt, and social benefits. Hell, being "2nd class" in Israel is way better than being "1st class" anywhere in the Arab world.
69. !?!? what ?!?!
z   (04.02.11)
"the son of the third sister serves in the Israeli Defense Forces." <---- What?
70. To: No. 64
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.02.11)
What leads you to the conclusion that Jews prefer America to Israel? Over the past ten years, more Jews have emigrated to Israel from the U.S. than have emigrated from Israel to the U.S. And -- in case you are not aware -- the average Jew emigrating from the U.S. to Israel is highly educated and holds a graduate or professional degree. On the other hand, the average Jew emigrating from Israel to the United States has all of a high school diploma. All in all then, I would say that you do not know what you are talking about. So shut up and check the facts.
71. #56 it must be it! You're on to it!
Shay   (04.02.11)
We really can't understand their culture and this is why many of us Israelis don't really believe we can make peace with them.
72. #7 Leila -What u call WB is in Israel
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (04.02.11)
There is absolutely no mention of Palestine or the West Bank or Jerusalem in your Koran, although Jerusalem, Israel & Judea are mentioned hundreds of times in both the Hebrew & Christian bibles Cities are crowded, we like the outdoors atmosphere of what you refer to as the West Bank
73. #9 Swabjockey, pay attention to the Head
BEN JABO ,   ISRAE   (04.02.11)
Just in case you didn't know it, this isn’t the 1850's Israeli Arabs, on the whole, are a lot more educated than you can ever hope to be, they attend our universities in great numbers And some serve in the IDF, by their own choice They are quite free to leave, nobody is holding them A few more small details, they have a higher percentage of children that are healthier at birth than the Arab countries do, less disease within the population, Since they have access to our excellent medical healthcare system Come on over, we’ll find a good shrink that may be able to help you out, Though I wouldn’t hold out too much hope, if I were you
74. # 70 So ..
Jack   (04.02.11)
So when are going to Israel and for good? I think .. you have an.. a high school diploma also?
75. # 70 So ..

76. We prefer to live in our homes in our land
Amir ,   Yaffa   (04.02.11)
77. Just like MAHMOOD of LONDON
zorro ,   nyc   (04.02.11)
He prefers London over Teheran
78. Men do not rule men!
Illuminati   (04.02.11)
Ideas rule men. Religion is and idea that controls/rules men. Religion is an idea that will get us all killed. That's not a good idea.
79. to: 4, Dear realist
Ros ,   Israel   (04.02.11)
I suggest you to read the article again, No one is planing to move the israeli arabs anywhere, they themselfs plan to move to israel if their current lands would become Palestinian state
80. #57 Gazan if you live in poverty blame hamas
Daniela   (04.02.11)
enough of your lies. Israel is a great country FULL OF BRAINS, you can see nwhat we have done until now. Your people based the life in fighting the jihad against Israel. Listen, Palestine never existed, the birth of Israel didn't erase Palestine because, again, it never existed, the land never was yours! Why didn't you asked the land to the turks, to Egypt or to the Jordanians? They also occupied "your" land but it was ok! This Land is jewish, arabs have enough land. check in the map.
81. Yeah, right!
Saul ,   Germany   (04.02.11)
Amer, Israel is a real democracy. If your people start behaving like civilized people, they might get to enjoy living in a democracy. Your own talkback can only exist in a real democracy . In Hamas ruled Gaza you would have been shot by now. Try to use your brain, ya Amer.
82. to #70 - Hi Sarah B, U.S.A. / Israel, how and WHERE are you?
Narah Correa ,   BRASIL   (04.02.11)
Very fine and at the Brooklin I hope and suspect, confirming my own opinion. One shouldn't doubt how smart middle eastern people is............
83. Amir #76: even when you're offered to stay on your land
you say 'no'   (04.02.11)
Even when Palestinians are offered to stay on their lands and homes but that this land will become a part of the Palestinian future state they say - no no no, we want to be Israeli citizens. Of course you in Yaffo have it easy, you'll never have to really say what you think - that it's not about the land and homes, it's about staying an Israeli citizen.
84. #2
Abed ,   Nazareth, Israel   (04.02.11)
Please don't lump all of us together. I'm an Arab Israeli and I love Israel. I served in the IDF. I vote for Jewish parties. Try to remember there are more like me. Maybe not as many as I or you would hope. But we are here.
85. #29 Abdel Karim & #84 Abed
Yossef   (04.02.11)
You made my day. Thank you both of you. Israel need you too, as you need Israel. I'm not young enough anymore to see the future I imagine for Israel, where Jews and Arabs will make an even more wonderful country. But I bet It'll happen.
86. Our so-called 2nd class citizens have more rights
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (04.02.11)
Than 2nd class citizens in America. In the US if one is not born there they are restricted in many ways, including what office they can aspire to. Here in Israel we have no such restrictions. Funny how our so-called 2nd class citizens have more rights than 1st class citizens in America or for that matter most of Europe have.
87. # 76
Thomas ,   US   (04.02.11)
You can still live in your homes in your land if Israel transfers jurisdiction over the land where you now live to a Palestinian government but nearly 90% of Arabs in Israel object to the plan. The question is why?
88. # 55 untill the end of the world
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (04.02.11)
barrah ! You will end the world,so,you can sit on allah's lap in the company of 72 maidens.
89. #85 Yossef
Salma ,   Palestine   (04.02.11)
May God give you a looooooooong, looooooong life to see me at least, I bet It'll happen. : )
90. Equal rights for everyone!
Yaron ,   Dallas   (04.02.11)
All people living within a country should have rights. People born in that country, should all have the same rights and freedom that everyone has regardless of their race or religion. Religion should not be involved in politics. Discrimanation is not Democratic.
