You know all about good intentions. The road to hell is paved with them. This is also known as ''The Law of Unintended Consequences.'' If they create an organization staffed with left-wing Israelis, liberal American Jews, etc. etc. - this will do more harm than good. And, you know for sure they won't hire ''extremists'' meaning anyone who questions conventional wisdom, anyone who speaks bluntly & tells the unvarnished truth. We'll get lots of political correctness, the enemy of truth. We wouldn't want to ''offend'' anyone, right? So while this may sound good in theory, in practice, this could be pretty awful.

Very good idea but this channel must be gratis(commisson free) for Cable companies otherwise they will not buy in Turkey. 1 Gaza war is more important than Itamar for the local Media (They like partisan sensation, weeks-long material with exaggeration,cheap screen occupation,profit over blood..etc) Turkish subtitle needed for some special programs. Other Goverments can refuse this channel(truths are not OK always so no permission) so this channel must be part of Israeli diplomacy. Erdogan has opened TRT Arabic. Last goverment before him had not given permission to single Arab TV even Al Jazera. An Hebrew letter is taboo but they have to learn half million Arabs on Israeli beaches and daily Qassams. Never wait them to come to your door.A Picture is worth a thousand words..

Can't hide the truth..

I have been wondering why this has not happened for years..why the Israeli Government didn't invest in a TV satellite station for news. The downside is, that they will only accuse Israel of propaganda. Revelation TV is a christian channel in the UK which has been a voice for Israel for years, so lets hurry and do it.

Don't even bother, countless people around the world will see this as a pathetic Hasbara channel! Good luck trying to match Al-Jazeera (which by the way, is of course a propaganda channel like any other).

You have no idea how bad the media could paint the Muslims if it had the pro-Zionist/Israel bent that you claim it does. We do not give the same media attention to the plight of religious minorities in Muslim countries, including ones we call allies, as we do the slightest inconvenience given to a "Palestinian".

You start up a program to improve your image in the Middle East but arte still officialy at war with most of it. So you think they will carry your new channel on their systems ? This is more of a propaganda bid by Israel to try to say that the whole world media is also against them. It is not going to be a Jewish Al-Jazeera; more like an Israeli " Voice of America ". Are you afraid of seeing the other side of the coin? It seems pathetic to me that so many people oppose to seeing what really is going on in Israel and are only willing to see the side of the Palestinians- quiet pathetic if I must say. In court, 2 parties have the right to present their case, so why can't Israel do it?

I'm very pleased to see this development. Israel has needed a "Voice" for many years to counter the lies, deception, smears and libels. I hope the Channel contains regular exposes of how the BBC (etc) distort the true facts

This sounds like a new media war and I don’t like the sound of that - If Israel doesn’t want to have people against its policies it should counter this in the usual way. By the way using statistics like 70% of international media reports are negative about Israel’s conflicts and linking that with anti-Semitism is just naïve- people don’t usually cheer on conflicts

If it is not going to be propoganda nobody will watch it, since we have plenty of established news outlet that this venture will not be able to compete with. And, if it is going to be propoganda, we have Fox and Fon is not going to lose any viewers to this new venture.
