1. Let's hope
James ,   Australia   (04.26.11)
Let's hope that the flotilla participants don't repeat the same mistakes that their friends did last time. Let's also hope that the IDF doesn't make the same dumb tactical mistakes, like not dropping enough soldiers, who landed with only paintball guns and holstered pistols.
2. GLUG GLUG GLUG
David ,   Haifa, Israel   (04.26.11)
3. Dear Turkey, how about a "peace flotilla" to Syria?
Tahl   (04.26.11)
How about lecturing Assad, "thou shalt not kill"? And how about creating a TV series about the suffering of the Syrians under Assad? After all, in one month of rioting in Syria, Assad killed more Syrians than Israel did in Gaza in the past two years, so don't the Syrians deserve a peace flotilla, a rebuke to their oppressor, and a TV series as well? Oh I get it. It is only cause for alarm and rage when Israel kills Muslim terrorists, but not when Muslims slaughter each other, right?
4. In this war/combat zone Israel has legacy...
Beary White ,   Norway   (04.26.11)
..to do what she means is neccessary to stop this ships, even outside the 72 km. . The low-IQ participants on theese ships do not want anything else than PR. Gaza is flooded with food/medicine. So, seize the ships, sell the steel/iron and keep the money to pay for the extra work to handle vessel-idiots.
5. Israel you've been warned...
Juliano ,   Italy   (04.26.11)
6. Mistake!
Paul ,   Jersualem, Israel   (04.26.11)
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Its all the Turks are capable of, Islamists secular or not are plagued with the racist impurity caused by generations of mental blindness. Preventing the Gaza propaganda ship was no mistake, it must and will be repeated, if the haters and instigators persist.
7. Sadly "Israel" does not learn from their mistakes
Salma ,   Palestine   (04.26.11)
we need more people like you Mr. Davutogluto to guide "Israel" in the right path.

Right, this time give a 'strong and 'not to be misunderstood PUBLIC warning, LOUD & CLEAR that 'any Flotilla trying to break the blockade of Gaza will 'not be tolerated and will be dealt with harshly! The 'ORGANIZERS are responsible of the outcome, it's THEIR choise! THEY can stop it! If 'they decide to try anyway....SINK them!

John ,   Europe   (04.26.11)
Don't try to overcome the boat armed light in hope that people are reasonable! Don't try to resolve the situation with any casualties. Just put 2 destroyers in front of it and let them try to pass through. They want to pass? Salvo. "Ups, we don't know why the cannons fired. Computer glitch, you know how it is".
14. #7 Salma from the country INVENTED in 1964
CK Tan ,   Singapore, Singapore   (04.26.11)
I am sure Turkey is the IDEAL model for the world based on how it DEALS with the Armenians and the Kurds. That's why Turkey was AWARDED the Gaddafi Peace Prize, named in HONOUR of the man who is presently HAILED as a great "respecter" of HUMAN RIGHTS and COMPASSION by NATO etc.
15. I dont blame Isreal at all.
Moses ,   South Africa   (04.26.11)
The stupidity and hypocracy of the Arabs has made Isreal a "spoilt child" that they dont know their limit, meanwhile they can't fight and conquer a gbetto like Gaza. They are just good at bullying and harassing.

20. Its a matter of time
H.F.G ,   Argentina   (04.26.11)
untill the people of Turkey revolt against their terror funded government
21. Blockade is legal
Freddy ,   Yanuv Israel   (04.26.11)
Turkey should be explained once again that there is a LEGAL blockade according to International Law on Gaza Strip. Any humanitarian aid will be send to Gaza from Ashdod to Gaza by trucks. Any ship trying to force the blockade can be boarded even in International waters as per San Remo Manual 1994. Usage of force, if necessary, is legal as per International Law.......
22. ...but, Israel's security does matter...
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (04.26.11)
And, legally, when a territory next door calls for Israel's annihilation and on a non-stop fire rockets and missiles aiming to mass murder civilians in Israel, Israel has the right and obligation to stop such activities and such weapons even before they reach that hostile territory, Gaza. If Turkey has a problem with it, why does it go into Iraq to mass murder Kurds...?? And, why did it go into Cyprus and occupied its northern part since 1974 to this day...??
23. What a chutpah of Turkey!
JJ ,   Israel.   (04.26.11)
24. Wait till it enters Israel waters and make reef out of it.
Josh   (04.26.11)
25. Do not make same mistake
Jorge ,   Israel/USA/Argentina   (04.26.11)
Do not make same mistake that you did with the Armenians allow Kurdish to have home land and stop firing at them and call them terrorist, they are freedom fighters
26. First of all ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.26.11)
.... the blockade is fully legal and internationally recognized. By sponsoring a "flotilla," Turkey is declaring its intent to violate international law. (Is Turkey really that stupid, or is Iran pressing Turkey? That's the real question.) Secondly, it is well known that the MAVI MARMARA did not carry a shred of humanitarian aid. That made Turkey a very big laughingstock among the international community. If Turkey wishes to organize "humanitarian" aid to Gaza, there are ways to do it which are acceptable to Israel. Similarly, if one truly wishes to send humanitarian aid, the object should be the aid, not how the aid is transferred to the intended recipients. There is no need for a showy flotilla, the costs of which would only dilute the quantity of aid. Here again, the question: Why? Is it in Turkey's best interests to organize, launch and foot the bill for this new flotilla escapade? Or is it in Iran's interests? Why is Turkey allowing Iran to jerk it around like a marionette? What leverage has Iran been applying against Turkey? Does it have anything to do with the border they share and that very large Kurdish population in Iran's north? It is a foregone conclusion that once the United States pulls out of Iraq, Iran will pop right in. Perhaps this is a bit of pre-arrangement which will enable Turkey to offload some of its pesky Kurds into northern Iraq, and acquire a favorable deal with respect to the importation of petroleum. One or another way, the flotilla will be stopped. Turkey will find itself liable on any number of statutory fronts for a clear violation of international law and, even if the silly flotilla sails and Israel is forced to interdict it -- the attention will not be upon Israel, who acted within all precepts of international law but rather upon Turkey, who acted outside the law. With any luck, some of the attention will also be upon Iran, whose trotters are rather deeply in the mix. Whatever else this "flotilla" is about, of one thing I am certain: it has absolutely nothing to do with humanitarian aid destined for Gaza. Iran has always used the people of Gaza for its own purposes against Israel. Turkey's supposed concern for Gaza's civilians coincided nicely with the discovery of a huge natural gas field off the coast of Haifa, which pretty much put an end to Western Europe's plans to import natural gas through pipelines going across Turkey (which would have been something of a logistical nightmare anyway), and with improved ties between Iran and Turkey (or should I say improved pressure?). No, the welfare of the ordinary people of Gaza are the last thing of interest to Iran, Turkey, and any other country that pays lip service in support of the flotilla. The only country that cares about the welfare of the civilians of Gaza is -- that's right -- Israel.
27. Clear provocation by the Turkish government. SINK THE SHIP!
Yaniv ,   Israel   (04.26.11)
28. same mistakes?
Matt   (04.26.11)
We relaxed the blockade, the Red Cross says there is not a humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Israel has offered alternate mechanisms to deliver such aid from Flotilla's. If you are seeking to become Shahid you are coming to the right place. This is a PR war and we have shaped the environment for future flotilla's in conjunction with countering the previous delegitimization operation during the last flotilla. It is you that made the mistake as you failed in your objective to use delegitimization to break the siege.
29. #18, actually Egypt closed Rafah for Passover
Danny   (04.26.11)
Of course you wouldn't know that because we only ever blame Israel
30. To: No. 7
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.26.11)
The ersatz "Palestinians" are the quintessential example of people who do not learn from their mistakes. Seven decades' worth, actually ..... I think it would be a very useful exercise for you to worry about cleaning up your own house before you worry about anyone else's. Heaven knows cleaning your own house will take you at least another seven decades .... best get started now!
