I am an oleh for 2 yrears,am fairly highly educated.I feel that something is eluding me in this situation.Firstly,I am secular and do not agree with settlements and G-d given rights.So is the government now saying that if I dont support settlements,suddenly I dont support Israel? I dont recognise settlements as part of Israel proper.I never ever did.This does not make me a traitor,self hating Jew,or anti Israel,only anti settlements. All because I firmly believe that Israel is harming itself by its continuing stances,and I believe that a 2 state solution is the only solution even if not perfect for all concerned. I know many who are becoming afraid to express any opinion,worried about possible future consequences etc. Can we continue to be a democratic country under such circumstances? Netanyahu and cabinet were not even present for the boycott vote????? Soon we will have no friends.No-one seems to care.We must take our heads out of the sand and stop living this seige existence.I said this in 1981/2 and it has taken almost 30 years to see others writing similar points of view,.
